I use VLC media player to watch videos and this *.ass file is not showing any subs when I drag and drop it directly in the player like how *.srt files work. Should I get another player or download again when the 1080p v2 file gets uploaded?

Why would you want to have to download a larger file than you already had downloaded just to be able to basically watch what you already had? it's just the subtitle file.

well for one thing that's what animetosho is for. and secondly, you should just download erai-raws in the first place instead of horriblesubs since it's the exact same thing except better video quality.

Mmm ... well, I can download at 8 - 10 megabytes per second ... not everybody can. I went and got the Erai-Raws version so that I could grab the subtitle file and help people who were extremely frustrated by the mix-up, and typically get stuck downloading at 100kbps or less. Seriously, it can take HOURS of downloading to watch the shows you want to see, especially if there aren't enough seeds. I had enough of that years ago. Providing a tiny file that will fix the subtitles for those people who ended up getting the messed up version is a godsend for those who have limited bandwidth. Let's not even get into the details of why they would or wouldn't want to grab a file several hundred megabytes larger and download for more than twice as long (because they got the messed up one first). HorribleSubs aint exactly horrible. The vid and sound quality is good enough that you can just sit at your computer and relax ... just like watching a TV broadcast. It doesn't have to be perfect quality for you to just enjoy watching the show. If you're one of those video bandwidth hogs or audiophyles who have to have absolutely perfect everything or it just drives you nuts, then by all means spend the time to get the best possible quality you can get .. .whatever floats your boat. You aren't the person I'm trying to help out here with this file. You're just getting in the way of the people who just wanna watch the show with your pointless complaints. Now .. if you read and understood all that, please, by all means, have yourself a nice day as we agree to disagree on our own opinions. :)
