Perhaps I should have waited a few months...
is just me or this only contain vol. 1-9 and 28-38?
It's just you.
yeah my bad, it's quite weird to pack 3 volumes in 1 volume folder

Yeah I found volumes 1-6 individually too. But the translation is different from the omnibus. Luckily the omnibus translation is consistent with volumes 28-38 (and IMO better than the v1-6 I found). It would be less weird if all the volumes were packed into omnibus but I guess they gave up halfway through?
"They" didn't give up, the publisher changed. v1-v27 were published by Del Rey until Del Rey went defunct and the license went back to Kodansha. Del Rey books at the time were print-only though, so for the digital version Kodansha had to re-release them from scratch (and also retranslate, since Kodansha didn't own the Del Rey translation) - so they went for the omnibus format as a way to get stuff out as quickly as possible. Individual volumes 1-6 look like shit because the scans were pretty bad AND I put no effort into editing. Just take this upload, it's the best you'll find.

Ah I see. Thanks for the info.
Is that the Manga or Light novel?
Amazing stuff! Will seed for sure!

@Zaiphon it's the manga. Didn't know there was a LN.
Can't tell which one is the original omnibus version. This one has increased sharpness to a point that it has created artifacts which makes me believe they were manually done. Also the cover seems to have stronger saturation compared to https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1134823 which is kinda blurry and loses details unlike this one. Comparissons (from vol 1 page 000 and 017) https://diff.pics/xgTfwHPnyhHP/1 https://diff.pics/iUyUj8XKl1kF/1 Had to downsize porchoky's from its px 1730 height to this one's px 1649 height and save it as png to preserve exactly how it looks in case the site messes with the artifact
Thanks for this!
It is a blessing that the greatest manga is still given due respect. It's a shame so many are unawares of this masterpiece these days.
