But it's not very respectful to not consider the conditions of the uploader on private tracker, if he took from there

I just downloaded from a site where they shared them publicly, so not sure where the original source is.

So is it that's used to make encodes? Bluray disc > BDMV > encodes, right?

Who care if this was a upload from a private or public tracker, muh elitist bs private thing, we all are pirates.

Really, though. People should respect the original uploader by giving them credit, but expecting it to be restricted is just stupid. It's not like they're a business losing money.

Hopefully this is the fixed batch :^) Also leechers obviously don't care where those BDMVs are coming from but in the past some uploaders stopped uploading because their stuff "leaked" to public sites. I can only speak for myself but I'd prefer BDMVs only being accessible to a few people making encodes over no BDMVs at all.

Well, yeah, some is better than none. It's just that, in my opinion, and many others, it's unreasonable and idiotic to expect something you upload on the internet for many people to see, to only be for some, when it's not even a monetary thing. I'd be disappointed if someone re-uploaded without credit, but that's the only part I'd care about. When it's pirating, nobody is paying, so it's stupid to care which pirates have access to it.

As someone who buys and watches anime in blurays (ideally), I prefer a BDMVs instead of encodes, since one gets virtually the best possible audio/visual quality without compromises (hi10p,flac,blahblahb,meme-encodes), muxed with fansubs which will offer "the best of both worlds".

@Uruz7Laevatein Well, sure. That’s only if you have infinite storage. You’re looking at roughly 10 complete single-cour series per TB that you can store. Topnotch encodes around 1-2GB/episode for a single-cour will be about 25GB/series. That’s about 40 complete series/TB that you can save. This is based on Japanese Vol. BD releases. In essence, you can store about 4x the amount of encodes compared to BDMV. Whether it’s worth it to you or not, I only grab a BDMV in addition to an encode for series that I absolutely thought was a masterpiece. Otherwise, I would stick to high quality encodes for most.
