This looks more than terrible, now we have FUNi version from their website and Toei/FUNi Remasters for the Movies. The Madman DVDs look better, even the Dragon Box DVDs are better. Idk what others might say about this, maybe it's good for collecting, but if you are quality-based collector, this is not the right choice for Dragon Ball - First Series.

it's an original japanese airing. the point isn't the video quality, it's the fact it's an original airing. it's great for collectors, and people looking for the broadcast audio. the original encode version contains the same thing but with transcoded x264 video, so this one is just for the purists and collectors. chill, dude. it's not for you. it doesn't even have subs or a dub. unless you speak the language, you couldn't watch this at all.

Okay, yeah sure... but... A. you can work with the audio and B. it's just nice to have footage from the original broadcast, and enjoy it in a quality that is much closer to the recorded source and not an encode. I do appreciate this upload a lot and hope for more if available.

This is neat. A better quality audio version than of the encoded release. @ShinMugetsu The Dragon Box and FUNi/Madman's Dragon Ball Saga Sets are all really good looking but the audio quality is muffled. Did you know that the Spaniard anime distributor Selecta Visión is reportedly remastering Dragon Ball on Blu-ray? Let's see what turns out of that.

If [GTeam] would still be around to take all the Dragon Ball Broadcast Japanese Audio... they did an amazing job with Dragon Ball GT, and I think they would do with this one too. @clutchins Yeah, but I can't be in that house due to storage issues =)))))
