The video quality looks much better, but that fucking audio. Ugh. Anyhow, while it does look good, I'm sure the video quality suffered the typical Moozzi2 job which makes me wonder what the raw looks like. Also, it seems they added in those parts where it pauses on a still image for 10 seconds or so and ads play from the TV broadcast (except its blank so there's no point and should be removed) at the end of the OP & ED for some reason.
No audio compression is fine unless its super low like below 128 kb/s Ac3 but on the blu-ray the audio is 1,500 kb/s PCM. I think the issue is they just used the audio from the masters without really cleaning it. Honestly while this blu-ray is a great improvement it does seem kinda cheaply slapped together compared to other HD anime remasters.
I'm going to sync the audio from the Japanese DVD's, sounds so much better. I'll upload a sample for you guys to judge.
I just tested the audio on my Atmos surround setup and wow its bad. The blu-ray is nearly mono with most going through the center speaker and the rest of the speakers mostly giving a static hiss, what we do hear in the center channel is very muffled. Meanwhile the DVD audio is very clear and all speakers are used to give great surround effect. Time to get editing I guess.

I'm done syncing episode 1 with DVD audio: https://mega.nz/#!ijYkSSZJ!TbOvcYd_6D7i3byJ3uN4Fg0yJFP1gUI0NnNNBGJJkwA
No wonder they didn't use the audio from the DVD even though its superior, it was somewhat a pain to sync. At multiple points it would go out of sync.
Episode 2 DVD audio: https://mega.nz/#!e25TFaYR!cMsyI3nNVew-8p4mFF19hzq_D69Y9KLtvuHYPvERrCM
Compare the scene right before Jun is waking up. On DVD audio you can clearly hear ambience of the outdoors with birds chirping but on blu-ray you hear nothing unless you turn your headphone up very loud you might hear a slight faint of the birds along with static hiss. This is some of the worst audio I've heard & I can't believe it made it onto the blu-ray.
I'll probably stop uploading to Mega and at some point upload torrents with the subs added.
I guess I won't upload a torrent because I assumed the subs were timed already but they're still pretty off and I'm too busy editing the audio to also edit the subs right now.

The blu-ray audio really is dual mono, well unless you count the hiss noise as stereo. So any sound effect that is left or right channel is completely gone on the blu-ray. For example listen to episode 4 at 9:35 of a door being closed, the sound effect is on the right channel on DVD but on the blu-ray its just not on this mono track as you can see here: https://i.postimg.cc/kX2F9kGz/04.jpg
