thank you for subbing this
When you release a new Version, PLEASE explain what has changed...
Awesome work, ty! it would be perfect when u sub the descriptions too
Thanks for the release. There are a bunch of inconsistencies between this release and other one made by someone else, I don't know which actually has the proper naming of characters and stuff. Still a couple of typos in this v3, like "thoose" at 13:12. Are you guys planning to keep doing this show? Also, yeah, would be great if you could include what changes between one version and the other.
Subs is good ?! or still shit ?
My feedback is based on the v3 for this episode. These aren't all the gripes I have, but they're the most prevalent. 0:05: 35 Year ago... Alteration: Thirty-five years ago... Anything over one year should be treated as plural, and there's no reason to capitalize it, either. Also, it's good practice to write the number out using letters rather than unless it's very long. 0:11 & 0:16: You should not be capitalizing anything after a comma. 0:28: ...in hopes of getting their hands over riches of it. Alteration: ...in hopes of finding their fortune. To be blunt, this line doesn't sound the least bit natural. Have you been speaking English for long? I hate to say this, but based on what I've read in the first thirty seconds, your translation is awkward. I can comprehend what you're trying to write, but that's not much of a selling point (especially in the age of simulcasts). I think your script quality would benefit greatly from having an editor on board. Look for someone who speaks the language natively, or someone who has at least engaged in conversation with native speakers for a fair length of time.
Damn the amount of grain in this... like sand in the eye. Thanks anyway
The translation is alright I used linguistics subtitles as well for some of the lines that didn't make sense.
This subs need a serious revision. Leaving aside the accuracy of the translation, there are a lot of syntax errors that can be easily corrected.
@Lazzil you're correct for the most part, but having "35" in numeric form is actually the proper way to do it. "A simple rule for using numbers in writing is that small numbers ranging from one to ten (or one to nine, depending on the style guide) should generally be spelled out. Larger numbers (i.e., above ten) are written as numerals." HOWEVER - since it is *also* the start of a sentence, it would be spelled out anyway; numeric figures that start sentences are always spelled out. Your assertion was correct, but your reasoning behind it was not. https://www.scribendi.com/advice/when_to_spell_out_numbers_in_writing.en.html
Oh, okay. I guess that's more of a teacher's preference then, lol. Thanks for sharing the link.
This is easily one of the worst translation attempts I've seen in a long time. The amount of grammatical and spelling errors is unreal. I literally had to stop watching because it was ruining my experience with this Anime. For a v3, this is a HUGE fail. Don't bother with this sub group. Total trash.
Come on... u guys pirate "official" (and horrible btw) translations or cry when nobody translates <insert your favorite unpopular show here> but when someone tries to do it, half of the feedback is how bad u think it was done.... Pointing out precise errors so them can be fixed is one thing but just blatantly complaining should be actually banned =.=
