Here are the 17 tracks from the new Blu-ray edition of DB & DBZ movies by Toei Animation, directly converted from the PCM to FLAC 24-Bit compression 8. # EDIT : THERE IS AN ERROR IN NAMES, MOVIE 9 AND 10 ARE REVERSED ### Blu-ray ![alt text](http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/20/1/1557700262-movie12blurayspek.png) ### Dragon Box ![alt text](http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/20/1/1557700262-movie12dboxspek.png) There is more data on Blu-ray tracks, and it's generally cleaner ### Audacity comparison ## 1. ![alt text](http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/20/1/1557700262-1.png) ## 2. ![alt text](http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/20/1/1557700262-2.png) Here also, Dbox lacks some parts, and it's not as clean as Blu-ray to me Toei Animation are not as dumb as FUNimation to destroy their content. I honestly think that they have an audio master for the movies, and they converted it to AC3 384kbps for their DBox release, and put it as it was for Blu-ray. They might have cleaned both audios from noise though, for its old.

How do they compare to the Dbox and LD?

andiandi (uploader)

User
I didn't compared them with the laser discs, but as I far as I know, LD are a bit strange. And they sound clearer than Dbox
>Toei Animation are not as dumb as FUNimation to destroy their content. Dumbest comment of the site? TOEI is known for throwing away DB GT film

andiandi (uploader)

User
Intervencion : You didn't understood my point. Yes,they are dumb for throwing physical things, but they are not dumb for destroying the image and audio quality of their releases, like FUNi does so Well. That's what I'm talking about here.
>Toei Animation are not as dumb as FUNimation to destroy their content. Uhhh......you do realise Toei went one step beyond FUNimation in the field of retardation by censoring middle fingers in old movies, on a collector's edition Blu-ray release that's too expensive for kids, right? I highly suggest you go and watch movie 5 on those precious Blu-rays you got, then come back and tell us how Toei don't destroy their content, lol.
I remember reading reviews of the DB Movies set that said the audio was shit. Like there was weird shit where silent parts of the films would be actually silent, as in no sound at all. I never got to hear these samples myself, I guess until now. LD audio is weird in that one channel will have all of the voices and most of the music while the other channel will have some of the music. You could copy and paste channels around in Audacity to make a sort of "dual mono(?)" so voices come out on both channels, I tried it myself.

enibba : You guys don't understand that I'm talking about audio and video quality, not censorship, throwing things and so on. FUNimation are known for their terrible filters. godbless : Do you really think that Toei audio masters have a true silence in silences ? The audios are so old that I'm sure there is some noise even in silences. They can't put their raw audio in home releases, they have to clean it. Just listen at Broadcast Audio, it's super noisy I guess that they clean both audios for Dragon Boxes and Blu-ray, but differently.
What about video quality? Are the Blu-ray's better than the Amazon WEB-DL's?

andiandi (uploader)

User
I personally chose Amazon over the Blu-ray. Blu-ray have a strong noise reduction filter imo (DNR), and colors are different, there is a sort of tint and I don't really like it. But the worse remains the censorship. BTW, we are currently releasing Amazon rips with Blu-ray audio tracks and French subtitles with my team (Team Mirolo) on yggtorrent. We just released the first four movies of Dragon Ball for those who are interested.
Are you planning to sync BD audio to the fullscreen DVDs?

andiandi (uploader)

User
I don't think so... We've already synced 13 dragon box audio tracks to FUNi Fullscreen DVD and 5 tracks to AB Video movies (7-8-9-10-11, the best one in 4:3). Blu-ray audios are not THAT different from the dragon box to motivate us resync all the tracks, plus we're on other things.
Can you upload it to Mega, torrents normally loses it's seeds in short amount of time You can upload it mega & post it in Reddit's community - MegaAnime
does ab video of movie 1 of original dragon ball 4:3 with japanese credits?
I have the audio track from the DBZ Movie 11 Drama CD and DBZ Movie 6 Drama Cassette. Both are stereo, very high-quality, hard to sync as fuck but it sounds worth it. I've tried syncing it but I'm not knowledgeable enough, asked a friend who gave up. These are legendarily hard to sync up, but if anyone wants to give it a whirl, I'm more than willing to share for the good of the fandom. Especially Movie 6 Cassette which just surfaced and as far as I know, only I and the original ripper have it.
Hi JohnnyOak, I might give it a try
Here's an example of the silencing in the Blu-rays: https://picosong.com/w8uv3/ The Blu-ray sounds "cleaner" but I prefer the natural background noise of the DVDs.
Just uploaded the torrent: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1143143
@ MadSpecialist I agree. The Blu-ray audio sounds sorta cleaner but the DVD audio doesn't sound inferior either.
@andiandi toei is worse than funi lately, They produced a bad and censored remake of DBZ, they did milk the franchise by making db super with bad animation, dragon ball super heros , 2011 ova of Bardock, 2008 ova .. etc and all of these have bad animations and plot holes, not to mention their censored dbz bluray movies. Funi have their flaws but at least their voices are great ( most of them especially Goku) and they are not the original company after all .I only love the classic dragon ball serieses ( db,z and GT and their movies and specials). Toei and Akira made this legendary anime just like Pokemon and digimon, but I respect all of your opinions .I don't want to be rude or something but take this As a side note, when you use do or did( refers to the past) or does(refers to singular present) just make the verb as an infinitive form without any additions , that's how the grammatical rule applies. I know your not a native speaker as so am I but I just want to point it out bro ^^ .+ thanks for your torrent .

Again, I wasn't talking about that, but of video and audio quality only. I agree with most of your points except that people must stop saying that Dragon Ball Kai has huge censorship. It's only 3 or 4 scenes that's all. >I don’t want to be rude or something but take this As a side note, when you use do or did( refers to the past) or does(refers to singular present) just make the verb as an infinitive form without any additions , that’s how the grammatical rule applies. I know your not a native speaker as so am I but I just want to point it out bro ^^ .+ thanks for your torrent . It's not rude at all. Thanks for the advise. It's not 100% natural for me to talk in English since I've only learned it through school, but I'll try to remember. >does ab video of movie 1 of original dragon ball 4:3 with japanese credits? Except movies 7-8-9-10-11, the rest is big shit believe me. I think they used an old master, but it's unbearable to see. >Here’s an example of the silencing in the Blu-rays: https://picosong.com/w8uv3/ The Blu-ray sounds “cleaner” but I prefer the natural background noise of the DVDs. Thanks for the comparison. I don't think the silence is as DBox in their master. They may have clean DBox so that low frequencies disappear, something that they have not done for Blu-ray, which might be more close to the source, but that can be done by anyone. But yes, DBox remains very good.
FUNimation's DB Movie 1 whether on DVD or Blu-ray is the best 4:3 version out there that I've seen myself. If you want to make it better you can, the footage is pretty dark but you can tweak that to see the background and characters again. Most Western DVD releases of Dragon Ball movie 1 in 4:3 AR are just VHS to DVD conversions so the quality is, well, just about watchable. It's also kind of depressing that the DB community can't go a day without arguing with each other. :(
Super_Saiyan_Lusitano: "It’s also kind of depressing that the DB community can’t go a day without arguing with each other." -> This is true for almost all anime series "community", nothing is good for the people, everybody argues on everything. They get all the stuff for FREE, lol. BTW, thank you andiandi for this great share!

Yes FUNi have the best 4:3 releases for 1 to 6 and 12/13. AB Video have the best 4:3 releases for 7 to 11 But I think madman is better for movie 13, than FUNi. It's less compressed.
I compared Madman's DBZ Movie 13 Single vs FUNimation's DBZ Movie 13 Single and the difference was slightly better or worse depending how you'd look at it.
Are these audios directly converted from the BDMV or from the usual 2018 BDrips of the movies?

andiandi (uploader)

User
Directly from the BDMV Each Box has 2 films, 00002.m2ts and 00005.m2ts. I just extracted the PCM of each movie, and converted it to FLAC 24bit
This is great, thanks for sharing. I should sync this with the LD audio (also synced to the Amazon rips) and try to notice the difference between them. The LD should (in theory) be superior since they are uncompressed and are the oldest transfer, but I remember instances where I couldn't even hear clearly some dialogues on the LD and on the Dragon Box they were crystal clear (I think it was at the end of DBZ movie 12). Anyways, thanks for sharing!
The moment I read the last paragraph comparing toei and funi, I already knew what was coming in the comments lol. But if you guys wanna talk about fuck ups, can we add funi's version of the Ultimate Battle song present in DBS ep 110 on the list as well? Everyone cool with that? @andiandi Just finished downloading your DB movies 1-4 upload on YGG, and I must say I'm genuinely surprised by how good the quality is for files of that size. Really great job done! Btw, concerning your DB Kai the final chapters project, you might wanna do a V2 using the German BDs, as they are more uncensored compared to the Japanese BDs and other international releases, and they also have the Jap title cards & stuff.

andiandi (uploader)

User
@SoulBurner : Thanks. We always target a good quality, very close to our sources, with x264 parameters that we wisely chose by multiple tests, targeting moderate CPU consumption and resulting in videos compatible even with smartphones from 2011. The 720p help to have a lower size also. For DB Kai, interesting ! We'll check that out.
And all that is apparent in your uploads. Really pleased with what I am seeing. Keep up the great work bro.

User
Thank you, we'll do our best
Are these better than Broadcast audio (clarity wise) ?

andiandi (uploader)

User
Of course, even the original Dragon Box tracks are better than Broadcast audio. The movies have a good audio quality. Toei didn't lose the audio master like they did with the serie.
"Of course, even the original Dragon Box tracks are better than Broadcast audio." What do you mean by this, Andi? The Dragon Box: The Movies audio or the Dragon Box audio in general of the Dragon, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT series? Muffled audio is pretty terrible but the Dbox Movies crystal clear audio sounds fantastic.
@andiandi Could you share all DB/DBZ movies TOEI remasters (bluray remux)? Pls

andiandi (uploader)

User
@Super_Saiyan_Lusitano : I was talking about the serie and it's shitty audio tracks :) @SeBoL86 : I can't. I only kept the audio tracks, and I've no right to share the download links

andiandi (uploader)

User
@SoulBurner : Do you have further informations about DB Kai The Final Chapter German ? I just saw that it was released by KAZÉ, the same French editor that releases the French Blu-ray that we used for our project. Censorship should be the same ?
I haven't seen the footage myself so I can't exactly pinpoint where the differences are, but I've confirmed it with many people, including Super_Saiyan_Lusitano and Pendekar, that the German BDs for the Final Chapters are indeed more uncensored compared to all the other releases. So, I would invite anyone with specific info to share it here.

andiandi (uploader)

User
Ok, I'll also try to inform myself for that. By any chance, do you know where could I find those German remux ? Not here for sure...
You should send an email to Super_Saiyan_Lusitano, here: [email protected]. Here's for Pendekar also, just in case: [email protected] All your questions will definitely be answered. Just do it!

Thank you very much
Can you upload it to MEGA ?
@andiandi as it turns out the 2 audios are the same(LaserDisc and the one you uploaded from the blu ray rip). Here is the thing though, toei obviously put the good audio only in the blu rays(BDMVs) and not the amazon/netflix releases(which are the same toei remaster). They basically put the clean audio only in their blu rays and the other releases(netflix/amazon) have muffled audio, that's why i was insisting that the blu rays have muffled audio, because i didn't know that toei would pull of something like this...unbelievable.I'm sorry for earlier.Have a nice day man,i love your dragon ball broadcast audio synced releases btw.Toei obviously wiped the audio masters for the movies(it explains why all their previous releases had muffled audio) and they decided to use the LaserDisc audio for the bluray release at the last moment.
Thanks so much for uploading this! However there aren't any seeds and this torrent is only one month old. If there is anyone that could seed this that would be very much appreciated. I've been trying to get this for a few days and there haven't been any seeds yet. Right now there are 6 people trying to download. I will seed this for as long as I can.
Is anyone available to help seed this? I will once it finishes downloading but it's been stuck at 89.4% for days now.
Thanks so much whoever it was that started seeding 2 weeks ago! The quality is amazing! I compared the difference between this Blu-ray audio and the Laserdisc audio from AnimeMaakuo. I am not a professional when it comes to music recording, but I have taken a course in computer assisted sound design. I compared quickly with DBZ movie 1, and was listening to the voices rather than music. Also I was comparing quickly on my laptop's built in speakers. But I like testing audio with those speakers since when the audio quality is high, it makes a big difference in the sound, and I can really hear the clarity. They are both very high quality, and at first it may sound very close to the same. But by taking a moment to listen for the difference carefully by jumping back and forth, the difference is clear. There are 2 major things that I noticed in the sound. The first is that the Laserdisc audio just sounds like it was recorded in the late 80's compared to how the Blu-ray sounds like it could have been recorded today, or at least in the late 90's. I actually like the way the Lazerdisc makes it sound like it was recorded a long time ago, as if it's the way it should sound. But the Blu-ray audio is just so clear and amazing, and just matches the amazing video quality. The second thing I noticed is something the ears can catch when jumping back and forth between the laserdisc and Blu-ray audio. The Laserdisc audio has a sort of blocked sound to my ears as if there is a frequency range that had been cut, or lowered, or just something about the equalitzation or something to do with the older equipment used. But when jumping to the Blu-ray audio, it doesn't make my ears feel blocked in that way, and the sound just opens up and is so clear to my ears with all frequencies being heard and just sounds much more like I am right in front of the voice actors compared to the Laserdisc. Again, I was using laptop speakers which don't have any low frequencies. But either way the difference between the two is clear.
Fujimi, I am currently uploading at about 300kb/s to someone who only has a bit more than 30% downloaded. Every time I look at the torrent, it isn't uploading, but I always leave it seeding. So it was a nice surprise to see it uploading today. However I am the only seed at this moment. I do have to work very soon which means I need to stop the torrents on my computer while I use my computer for work. But as long as I'm not working, I am seeding this. It's strange because I have the ability to upload at 2MB/s with a 10MB upload connection, and there are 4 leechers, but I'm only connected to one. I am using Utorrent, and I tried using windscribe free vpn just as a test since it allows torrents, but it doesn't change anything. It is worth the wait though if you haven't gotten it yet. It took me 2 weeks to get this. The seeds are random, but they seem to come back at times. Or at least they did for me when I needed them.
I was thinking about what godblessadolfhitler and MadSPecialist were saying about the noise removal of this Blu-ray audio making some silent parts actually completely silent. I didn't have a chance to properly check that yet in comparison to the Laserdisc and Dragon Box Audio, but I started thinking about this because of a TV Show from the 80s called Perfect Strangers which was released on Amazon prime video in 1080p. The audio I noticed had a heavy amount of noice reduction. The DVD audio however was a bit clearer, but a lot better since I could hear all the background sounds during the dialogue which were completely filtered out in the Amazon prime video version. For example I couldn't hear the noise of someones shirt as they lifted their arm while they were talking whereas in the DVD audio I could hear the shirt loud and clear. That makes me think that this may be a sort of trend for how older audio recordings are cleaned up for Blu-ray, and makes me wonder if that same problem may exist in some way in the Blu-ray audio for these Dragon Ball Movies. I will check it one day when I actually sit down and watch the movies with this Blu-ray audio. But so far I haven't noticed anything. If someone had some time, it would be nice if they could try to find an example of something in the background that can be heard in the Dragon Box or LaserDisc Audio that cannot be heard in this Blu-ray audio. Something other than noise. Although I would rather be able to hear even the noise in silent parts. This Blu-ray audio sounds amazing though either way. It would be a real shame if someone found any background sounds that have dissappeared from the noise reduction of the Blu-ray audio. I have uploaded this almost 9 times now at 50.3 gigs. I'm the only seed though. Probably because there is only 1 leecher who doesn't seem to be taking anything. I will stay as a seed for another month, but someone should take over for me after that.
Overdrive, I happen to still have these files accessible to upload so I am uploading to you, but to everyone else who doesn't download at the same time, I'm sorry but I won't be seeding after there are no leachers left. If anyone wants this, the uploader should probably seed eventually if you keep this torrent active and you're lucky. Sorry I can't seed forever. Overdrive, don't worry if I stop, I can't use my computer to seed while I am working. I will make sure that you finish downloading.
Seed this please!
