how do we seed at this speed ?

The torrent has 100 leechers, I’m not a seedbox, it will probably take one day for it to be uploaded in total. Once that is done, the torrent will be blessed with faster seeders than me.

You only seed it at 5kb/s and then ran off. No one can seed this even after trying to download for a year. ?

Relax, I haven’t ran off, I’ve seeded 11 GB, only 1 GB arrived at the top peer. Seeding at 5 KB/sec for 100 people transfers more metadata than actual data so I’ve decided to ban all peers but 8, so that someone has the complete copy of the torrent faster. It might take 1-2 days yes, but I’m not leaving until the torrent has at least 3-4 seeders.

This is not how you do it (unless, of course, you somehow got in touch with these peers to make sure that they would be online and seeding well).

Super seeding mode is the solution of your specific problem, so turn that on. You won’t finish any faster than total_size/your_upload_speed, but the client will try to upload each piece only once automatically. Then you can limit the global number of upload slots to keep stalled connections and incomplete pieces at the other side at a minimum.

@TakeMeToTheStars, in the future if you set your client to initial seeding (superseeding) it will only send out torrent pieces to the peers who have sent out the last piece you gave them, saving you from seeding to leeches. So instead of seeding out 10GB with only the top peers having 1GB, it’s more like 10GB seeded for 9GB shared among the top peers since you end up primarily seeding to people who can blast it out to the rest of the swarm.
Your client will effectively ban all the people with bad upload so you don’t have to do it manually.
