Founder of Kienai, here. I'll download this and see what I can do with the script. It does sound pretty awful. Haven't touched fansubbing in 7 years. I watched Zero the Enforcer on a plane ride to Japan with English subtitles on the inflight videos last year :P That translation and editing was pretty spot on and makes me wonder how someone can release subtitles that look like this. I want to see how much fansubbing went into this and maybe in a week, I can turn it into something respectable unless someone does it first.

@jrum178 "Founder of Kienai,". Welcome back then. You must have some stories to tell... I'm 77 and only discovered Manga/Anime in my 50s. I'd admired Japanese art since childhood, but apart from Kurosawa and a few other film directors, subtitling was notable only by its absence. The early fansubbers were pioneers, subtitling from one of the most complex and ambiguous languages in history, into the very different linguistic and cultural milieus of our Anglo-Saxon heritage. And nowadays? I've been spurred to action by the incredibly awful trailer for the forthcoming "Ghost In The Shell" SAC2045 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpxM4Jq1vPg Kane kane.. Shame on IG! And Netflix. Look forward to any translation work you do :)

Well apparently Kienai is already working hard on Movie 23. I had no idea that thing were still moving without my knowing. I guess that's what happens when you completely leave the anime scene altogether.

Kienai went dormant for years because its staff had Real Life to deal with. Ironically, the one who helped revive them was me - one of their bitterest rivals back in earlier days. XP Trust me - we got this. Just hang in there a little longer.
