After the release of [*AWOL Compression Remix*](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1176206), some people (masochists?) asked for the complete TV series, despite its reputation for sluggish pacing and general incoherence. Here are rips of the only complete home video version of the TV series, the US VHS release. Now, some caveats: the video/audio sync is off in most of the episodes. The torrent includes a text file with my best guesses for the audio delays needed to produce passable synchronization. (VLC allows for easy adjustment of audio delays and will play these episodes.) However, I'm not an audio editor, and YMMV: ep 1 - okay ep 2 - early - audio delay 350ms ep 3 - early - audio delay 1000ms ep 4 - early - audio delay 2000ms ep 5 - early - audio delay 2200ms ep 6 - early - audio delay 3500ms ep 7 - okay ep 8 - early - audio delay 500ms ep 9 - early - audio delay 1200ms ep 10- early - audio delay 2000ms ep 11- early - audio delay 2300ms ep 12- early - audio delay 3000ms

thanks, i have no idea about encoding, but would it be possible to re-encode it without the audiodelay?
if its audio delay you can probably remux the MKVs with a audio delay

@o4rku - what PhoenixV said. I didn't remux the files because I'm not sure the delays are correct. Perhaps a viewer with more audio editing experience can come up with better values.
You can use Audacity and line up the audios and can calculate the exact amount of delay
Cool, thanks! (And for the record, I actually really liked the compression OVA ;)
@archivisth You're not the author of that blog are you? They seem like a kindred spirit. Also I must thank you for your work with Orphan literally Saving Fansubbing(tm).
@comrade_meowski - Yes, he's the author of the blog and the leader of Orphan. :)
I've been reading collectr's blog for a long time so I know he's the leader/editor for Orphan - I meant the landofoscusion blog he linked in the information field above. He and the author of that blog seem to have very similar anime interests so I was wondering if it was his "other blog" or something :]
@comrade_meowski - Oh, I see. I didn't know you were asking about the link to that website in the information field at the top of the page. Anyway, I don't think it's Collectr who runs that "other blog" in the link. I'm not 100% sure though, so Collectr himself will have to clarify that for us.
>Also I must thank you for your work with Orphan literally Saving Fansubbing™. This. I came across your stuff a couple months ago @archivisth on nyaa, which lead me to your blog. Your work is amazing. I'm in 6th year of building a massive local anime archive (currently 1,800 titles across 10TB). I'm will be adding 99% of your torrents to it, as well as anything rare, not posted on nyaa, from XDCC. I'm also archiving the adjoining blog post with each release, saved in the same folder of the title. The 'quality info - {title}.txt' file for each series, which includes a/v, group, production, etc. details (see image: https://imgur.com/oHARbp8 ), also contains the release notes you post on nyaa. Eternal gratuity for your work to fansubbing and translations of rare and old anime. [Orphan], [M74], and Piyo Piyo Productions have truly saved anime.
@archivisth Thank you, I'm retro-masochist and would add your stuff to my humble 32 TB anime collection of 4300 titles.

@comrade_meowski - No, I'm not the author of The Land of Obfuscation. @lain-is-love, DarkKuroi - I know the feeling (my nick is Collectr for a reason). Too much anime, too little time...
Ever since I've been looking for old anime to watch, Your Group's name has popped up a lot. Thank you on behalf of the anime community for preserving old or forgotten media.
