![alt text](http://www.up1.co.uk/Details/G2250/$file/LittleMermaid.jpg "Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid") Bought this somewhat recently as a blind buy as it looked interesting and it sure was worth the wait! This is honestly far better than Disney's version and the picture quality is spectacular, almost HD-like. So, I made a remux through XMedia Recode without converting anything and it just copied the film files to a Matroska container. Furthermore, I've watched this through my Android TV Box (via KD Player specifically) and worked perfectly with the subs activated. **Screenshot Comparison of DVDRip [Neo1024] Vs. This is a gorgeous encode. I'm shocked that it's not even 10 bit. Great job man and thanks.

You're welcome. I'll be uploading the Spaniard DVD release later, but the picture quality is honestly not very good. I'd say somewhat similar to the DVDRip screenshots as that was based on it. However, it's worth preserving as it features the Castillan dub (plus Japanese audio, Portuguese subs) as I enjoy anime dubbed in Castillan.
Sadly, this file appears to have encoding errors. :( Appears to primarily be a problem during scene changes. There are blocky mixed frames at scene transitions, and the audio also goes out of sync. In AegisSub, I'm showing a runtime of 1h08m39s for the video track and 58m48s for the audio track. Pretty sure that it's not an issue with the media player, since I get the same results in MPV, MPC-BE, VLC, and AegisSub. Try checking frames 6360-6363 @ 7m11s mark for an example. The audio stream by itself seems to be in good shape, but skips around pretty badly during normal playback of the mkv, so my guess is that the skipped sections are just frames that are too badly damaged to process by normal players. The bad frames are visible when stepped thru frame by frame. What is there does look quite nice, so I'd like to request a v2 if possible. ^^;;;

@ Deadman80 It might have to do with incompatibility. On PC, I'd suggest SM Player and on Android, KD Player (and MX Player probably too). The subs on remuxed files done through XMedia Recode in my experience don't show up on MPC-HC, but on other players it does. Anyhow, I could see about trying to synch the subtitles from the Neo1024 with the DVD Remux so that would work for you and those affected.
@Impakt Subs show up fine as far as I can tell, other than the video stream itself being broken. There are simply damaged frames in the video stream. As I said, I tried 3 different media players to verify that it isn't just an incompatibility with a specific player, and no mere compatibility issue would explain a 10m difference in the length of the video vs audio streams when opened in AegisSub, so something is definitely wrong. The issue is most noticeable during scene cuts where there are frames that are quite obviously displaying data from both scenes, but occurs frequently throughout the video at all of the points that I tried checking when skimming thru. Another good example that you can use for verification of the timing issue is during the studio intro @ 0h0m31s with the waves on screen. Frame 731 has a timestamp of 0:00:31.815, then frame 732 has a timestamp of 0:00:33.033. There should never be a 1sec+ gap between frames.

No worries. I'll make a new remux (via PgcDemux) and will upload whenever ready. Just need to get all ready.
