Synopsis
In the backwater town of Bellforest lives a 14-year-old boy named Renton Thurston. He desires to leave his home behind and join the mercenary group known as Gekkostate, hoping to find some adventure to brighten up his mundane life. However, stuck between his grandfather’s insistence to become a mechanic like him and the pressure of his deceased father’s legacy, the only excitement Renton finds is in his pastime of riding the Trapar wave particles that are dispersed throughout the air, an activity akin to surfing.
Everything changes when an unknown object crashes through Renton’s garage, discovered to be a Light Finding Operation—a robot capable of riding the Trapar waves—specifically known as the Nirvash typeZERO. Its pilot is a young girl named Eureka, a member of the Gekkostate, who requests a tune-up for the Nirvash. Their meeting sparks the beginning of Renton’s involvement with the Gekkostate as he takes off alongside Eureka as the co-pilot of the Nirvash.

lowertie
is this a reup? i remember downloading from you
Gachiboss
@lowertie, It’s here because bonkai77 doesn’t upload to nyaa afaik so other people do his stuff and a decent version was lacking from what I saw. He stopped uploading for like 2 years now. This was one of his last uploads. You can get his stuff on 1337x and anidex etc, which is uploaded by himself, aswell.

If somebody wants subs for the RAW BDs, look here:
https://nyaa.iss.one/view/938163
I did these myself years ago because nobody else bothered, and I had to watch the show somehow.
Recommend Eggpain Raws

bonkai77…good ol days. Havent seen him since 2017 or 18…I remember his BD rips to be really nice, but grainy a bit. I alwys thought it was something special, the grain and mostly dont notice. Who were the other best uploaders? Now its Cleo, DB, Jacobs (used to be), Yanix (also gone) Thora (gone), AnimeRG…Now ts Mr.Deadpool, Judas, LostYears etc. Especially when it comes to dual audio batches.
anruijin
How do these compare to the Eggpain raws or the [a-s] encode?
Pururu
Yanix was encoder? I didn’t know that.
robo666
Thanks for this bonkai77
Dudun
Yanix wasn’t encoder. He just used to upload batches from other groups. bonkai77, pseudo retired. Even AnimeRG is almost dead now

Nice, a worthy replacement to the copy I got years ago on BakaBT.
Foxer91
Does anyone else have a problem with the English audio for Episode 15 at timestamp 16:46. I’ve use multiple video players and the audio just cuts out and is silent throughout the rest of the episode. The Japanese audio works fine, it’s just the English track.

Thank you very much for sharing

Thanks

There is an issue with eng audio of #15 as Foxer91 pointed out. It just cuts off after 16:46. I remuxed the eng audio from [2ndfire]'s release here: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1258594
It syncs perfectly FYI

Comprehensive comparison between this and other Eureka 7 encodes: https://slow.pics/c/amg0J3UM
Decided to rewatch these series and I have to say that the filtered versions blew my mind (bonkai77 and Moozzi2).
Since initial BD upscale by the company is poorly made, the added sharpening and color correction really helps here IMO. I wasn’t a fan of filtering before, but for this particular older anime I think it really enhances the experience.
2ndfire
Thank you for that comparison. As you can see, filtering of this level obliterates fine detail, and creates weird motion artifacts as the scaling algorithm loses track of object edges and reacquires them.
Look at fine writing, or chroma detail, like the grass in the outdoor shots.
