It is still too slow for play-back. It is good that you are paying attention to play-back speed. I was curious how much it would help. Unfortunately, it seems that PCs still need 8 bit at that resolution. I would try again with CDEF disabled after down scale from 1080YUV420 to 540YUV444. Tell AV1an to pass `full_chroma_inp+full_chroma_int` to FFMPEG. You could produce a sample first just as a test. One of the preview clips anime use to advertise should serve well.
