I stalled hard on this episode because I knew none of the signs would look good without motion tracking, and I kept putting off learning how. They look good for the most part in the [upscaled version](https://mega.nz/file/Po50XYxL#YvLJEsRR9QdIoC-Z5zlq2YZ3HT9-0R6-5yRezCMnS5w), but a little less good in this version due to positioning and frame differences in the source that I couldn't wholly account for. I used Blender instead of Mocha Pro because I'm not about to pay a $300 annual subscription fee to support intermittent hobby projects like this. The only drawback is that I couldn't figure out how to track a vectoral clip, so I had to manually split one line into about 120 frames and input each clip separately. I can't compete with a computer so it looks a little shaky, but I've seen worse. This episode had one of the funniest direct translations I've ever seen in official subs: they translated わすれもの as "Lost article." Yes, that's technically right, but you would never say that to someone in English, especially not as a standalone sentence. I've rendered this line as "You forgot this." for the sake of sanity.

Nice typesetting but the main dialogue styling is really bad. I suggest you to use Gandhi Sans or Designosaur. Also the audio in U2-Rip is 448Kbps AC3 but the files in your folder are tagged incorrectly as AAC.

The U2-Rip raw files are labeled as AAC in the filename, so that's what I went with. I see now that it is in fact an AC3 audio stream, so I will change that aspect of the naming in the future. It's nothing more than a mislabeling; I did not re-encode the audio. As for the main dialogue font, I think Gandhi Sans is way overused and it actually kind of annoys me when I see it. To my eyes it looks almost as bad as Open Sans Semibold. Never heard of Designosaur until now. It looks like a good generic dialogue font and I may use it in the future, but my choice of French Grotesque for this show is quite deliberate. I wanted that fancy colorful look you see in some older fansubs from the early 2000s. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it's what looked right to me from an aesthetic standpoint, and I have no trouble reading it in my quality checks.
do you really think any fansubber actually pays for mocha? it's not like we pay for anime or anything else.
Thanks are you doing a batch soon i know its like 24 episodes and i didnt get the chance to finish the anime it would be nice if you do it
> not getting mocha cracked anyhow, this blog has a bunch of stuff for typesetting and mocha software as well https://yukisubs.wordpress.com/guides/
but that doesn't have blender tutorial
blender is garbage, mocha is better anyways

@herkz Pirating software is not exactly straightforward compared to anime. You have to make sure that the DRM has been properly circumvented and that pingbacks/telemetry have been disabled, the installation process is often tricky, and it's far easier for someone to insert malicious code in a compiled binary than a mere video file (not that the latter is entirely impossible, but this site has good enough moderation that I feel safe ignoring that edge case -- whereas I wouldn't trust some random pirate bay upload to automatically be that safe, especially not software). So no, I don't expect that the average fansubber pays for Mocha Pro, but if I actually intended to use it, I would probably pay just to avoid all that hassle. For now I'll just see what I can accomplish with Blender. @fuee There are 26 episodes total, so it may take a while, but yes, there will be a batch of all of them once everything is complete.

If anyone's interested, I used [this guide](https://subarashii-no-fansub.github.io/Subbing-Tutorial/Tracking-Motion/) for motion tracking in Blender. Beware of the Engrish.
While other concerns are fair points and its definitely clever to err on the side of caution, the installation process for cracking mocha pro isn't tricky. I am more looking forward to what you can accomplish with blender.
it's actually really easy to crack lol
