You type everything in capslock, which really shouldn’t be done. They weren’t meant to write like that.
Other thing is that this “I” is, in most fonts, restricted to the english personal pronoun “I”.
It should look like this instead
(I wrote Dabura because that’s how I usually write, I’m not picking with that stuff)
You also keep the original ponctuation, which in my opinion is just lazy. But you do you.
I could say a few more things, like using too many fonts and not using them as well as you could, but I’ll just leave you this picture here because I don’t want to bore you to death.
We don’t typeset most of the manga, we usually edit the English translations onto the colored manga because we don’t want to make the process 4-5x longer for pretty minor issues (which I guess is pretty lazy). Probably just a difference in our goals, though nothing’s stopping anyone else from trying to do it better. The leading guide could be useful for the ones we do typeset.though.
@DonCanjas leaving the original punctuation Is better IMO these critiques are basically only you. but I do see what you mean with the “I” thing it is better written like “I”
@DonCanjas
He isn’t typesetting the manga, he is layering the color manga on top of the fan translations uploaded by iKaos and erasing the Japanese text to reveal the English translation underneath. It’s not perfect, but he’s the first person in the community to bother doing this even though the color manga has been available since 2013, so I’m grateful for these releases. If you think you can make a better version you’re welcome to do so, the raws are available here on nyaa.

I appreciate the effort, but why do you have to break the most basic rules of typesetting manga?

What rules? Also we’re pretty open about how we edit the manga in the discord.
