### The complete End of Evangelion. ![](https://files.catbox.moe/thfq0x.png) --- v2 notes: Completely redid the chapters and fixed the audio delay issue. I also very heavily edited the subs, like practically every line. [Changes can be seen here.](https://www.diffchecker.com/XbF37WAo) Both sephirotic's and commie's subs were deeply flawed, so for that reason I took the best parts from both (+ my own improvements) and put it into one sub track. v3 notes: I noticed the Japanese track's surround channels were very quiet, leading to scenes where you can't hear lines of dialogue (example: [v2](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_LqG6K6dbHTSMVHISieQZQFRwVKhyaoU/view?usp=sharing) vs [v3](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yCPJgnlPI-fQmmjH87V7NV0tt_WKzxwx/view?usp=sharing)). This issue is present in both the Commie and ARC releases. I fixed this issue and removed the stereo track. Since I had to v3, I took the opportunity to further improve my v2 subs. [Changes can be seen here](https://www.diffchecker.com/QZEdS1qV). 13/07/21: [Click here for updated subtitle file, with a handful of edits.](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ElbDt5_b2I_rJkIvj5JBOmpT48GivoNq/view?usp=sharing) 9/11/21: While I am still quite happy with my work on eoe, in hindsight I was probably too liberal with my editing, and changed the meaning of some lines. Until I make a better version of these subs, I would recommend using the subtitles from [ARC]. ⠀ **Video** is Beatrice-Raws’ / Jensen’s encode. It’s the best video I could find after a comparison. If you’re looking for a release with video muxed directly from the Blu-Ray [check out my other release.](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1408436) **Audio**: includes every dub, as well as Netflix's dubs in every language (english, french, german, italian, brazilian-portuguese, spanish, castilian). **Subs**: includes the sub track mentioned in the v2 notes, with commie's signs and TS. Also includes all of Sephirotic's foreign language subtitles (french, german, italian, portuguese, spanish, japanese, russian and chinese). #### [click here for mediainfo](https://pastebin.com/pV5fmAYi) #### you better seed --- My other Eva releases: [Evangelion 1.11](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1377771) [Evangelion 2.22](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1378305) [Evangelion 3.33](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1378251) Currently working on NGE, Death (True)², Jojo 2012 and subs for Steins;Gate.

User
hopefully never. i really didn't want to v3, but the audio issue was just too egregious not to
Can you tell me from where did you get the lossless english 7 channels audio?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
6.1 channel audio. got it from... ARC's release?
@mcbaws21 I did ask the same question there, but the uploader didn't reply. The thing is, I could only find lossy DTS 6.1 track of the english audio. You can see the sample-rate of the lossless audio is 44.1kHz which made me suspect that he converted the lossy audio to lossless with wrong sample-rate. I personally haven't seen any DVD/BD audio to be 44.1kHz. I could be wrong about this though. Just wondering.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
I honestly have no idea, but that's probably the answer
Ok, I see. Thanks for the release.
the series was awesome till the shitty ending thanks for this
Rarely have I witnessed a man as based as you. Thank you immensely, will seed till the end of time and finally get into eva for the first time ever
imagine wasting all this time when the broadcast episodes clearly had the better ending
Anyone got a DDL for the SRT file?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@IlariMachine If you’re just getting into eva now, I would recommend waiting juuust a little bit longer. Arid and I are making a release for the show that will be better than anything out there right now. @nekochaos [here ya go](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TqzcCVJWjjN4N-pXSesAryrN9iumvn__/view?usp=sharing)
@mcbaws21 Was Just about to download Sephirotic's. Would your release be even better?
would it be possible to get this in a gdrive link?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@vikrant9760 yes, my release has better video, audio, subtitles and chapter names, and is in one file instead of being split into two. @letslovelain i don't have unlimited space on my gdrive bro. just use qbittorrent
im on university wifi, VPNs and torrent clients are banned. ill see what i can do but gdrive or mega would be lit

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
[alright man here you go](https://1fichier.com/?a23z6ge4v0inq6cx21h9)
@mcbaws21 That sounds real neat! Any ETA?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@vikrant9760 ohh, i thought you were talking about end of eva. if you want to watch NGE right now, just get sephirotic's. but if you don't mind waiting a month or two for my release, the subs and video will be way better.
GOAT shit. thanks bro
Is [this](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ECzZuEj679JFONrusbvhPoKJl3WFkdHj/view) the final version? Also, have you considered adding karaoke/signs for the 2 songs (Thanatos and Komm süsser Tod)? I know there's subs out there that already have those TL'd

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@nekochaos yes. also no offense but adding karaoke/signs for komm (sus)ser tod takes up too much of the screen, is distracting, and also is very ugly. also both songs are already in english, so it's not like they need to be translated or anything. i think the vast majority of people would have a better experience without them.
@mcbaws21 Could you elaborate on your quality improvements over Sephirotic's NGE? From what I understand he has some custom color corrections going on, plus a full restoration to ep. 16, so what are you working with? I'm eager to see his 720p DNR release but he usually takes years to put anything out. Looking forward to see what you've been cooking.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
sephirotic’s color correction kills shadows, and tints some scenes (entire episodes in some cases). he also killed tons of detail with his noise reduction. yurasyk’s encode (which i’m using) is much better in almost every way, including episode 16. in terms of subs, sephirotic’s english ones are... not good. we’re going to be using the netflix tl to improve datte13’s version of his subs. also i’m editing fly me to the moon into the netflix dub fyi, my release is going to be a joint with arid, he’s editing the script while i do everything else, including ts and qc.
@mcbaws21 That's good to know, thanks! Looking forward to it.
@mcbaws21 will your release of nge include various dubs, not just the netflix ones? the german netflix dub is so much inferior to the original tv dub

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
at the moment i’ve only synced the english dubs. i guess i could look into other languages, but it would just get exponentially more painful to deal with
i have the german dubs synced to beatrice, i could share them if that would help.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
that would certainly help. please send
Hey Baws, do you have an ETA on the NGE you're working on?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@User5548 no. i have no idea when we’ll be done. august - september most likely
Really? I’ll be looking out for it then. On a side note, thanks for these releases <3
Hey Baws, do you accept donations? I'd like to support you if possible

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
i will not accept donations for the simple reason that I don’t need the money. thanks for the offer though :)

thank you for muxing it in
I hate to have to be autistic like this, but the subs for the single-frame shots (the fan letters and graffiti) are almost entirely wrong and/or incomplete. It's better to not bother subbing them at all since you can only read them if you pause and go frame-by-frame, and anyone who does that deserves to actually, you know, be able to read what the text is actually saying (or not at all). Keeping the "Anno, I'll kill you!" is fine since it's visible for more than a single frame, but the rest? Eh. Your typesetting throughout is impressive in how it tries to mimic the on-screen text without overwriting it, but the translation part leaves a lot to be desired, especially for an epic work like Evangelion. I mean, how do you confuse 長かった and 良かった? MTL?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@nomakewan You're right, I should've removed all that. Almost all the signs (Including those translations I think) were done by Commie, so I can't take credit for the typesetting. Once I release NGE I'm gonna do a batch release with all the movies, and I'll either remove or make the text better for that version.
Looking forward to the batch release. Will you do a BDRemux batch release too with all NGE?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
I won't be doing a BDRemux batch because the NGE and Rebuild BDs are significantly worse than the best encodes.
You said Sephirotic's subs were deeply flawed, but I always thought his stuff was regarded as the defacto releases for Eva. Can you elaborate on what exactly is better about this? Same with his supposedly flawed color corrections and the like. I'm also wondering, what makes your releases of the rebuilds the best? I have the THORA ones but they don't play sound on my laptop's speakers for some reason, do yours have the same issue? What's different overall?

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
Yes, his stuff is regarded as the defacto releases, but they're still not very good. His subtitles are in dire need of re-editing, and are full of inconsistencies and bad phrasing. And while his color corrections may make some scenes look better, it's kinda ruined by the rest of the filtering being mid-tier and having too highof a crf. He's not willing to allocate enough bitrate to maintain grain and blacks, and lot of detail is lost in the dark scenes. Overall Yurasyk is just a better encode for NGE, and Beatrice for EoE. In terms of rebuilds, they are just remuxes with some tweaks, it's Thora signs but with edited styles and signs, Beatrice video and the best audio I could find for every dub. Yes, the rebuilds do have some audio issues due to the way they were mastered. If you have any issues with the audio (which I don't think you will), there are fixes listed in the comments of Thora's release.
Thank you for the release. Do you have any plans of making a new release of both EoE and NGE once the Ultimate Edition box is released? I'm not sure if they will fix or change video/audio with that release. Also, apparently Italian releases are better than US or JP ones. (source: https://nyaa.net/view/386504#comment_12). Would you be interested on doing it with an Italian release if that is available in the future? Also, what is the difference between your BDrip and BD remux?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but you mentioned that you want to do a batch with all of the films. If so, would you include the new Amazon redubs of the first three Rebuilds? I'd assume so since that'd *technically* be more consistent since Rebuild 4 only has its one dub (obviously), but felt like asking anyway to make sure. Keep up the good work!

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@Skullcrane886 No, I don't plan on making a new release once those versions come out, unless someone releases a better encode. That is because a proper encode will always be better than the BD remux. Also, while ITA BDs are better in some ways than JP, they're still limited in what they can do, and are almost never as good as the best encode. Also, the difference between my BDRip and BDRemux is that one has untouched video from the BD, and one is an encode from Beatrice. If you don't know the difference, get BDRip. It's smaller and probably looks better anyways. @GioGio I will include the dubs, yes. The real question is whether I include the old dubs as well, or have just the amazon ones.
@mcbaws21 Thank you for your response. It makes sense what you mean and I'll definitely download your BDrip and will also be waiting for your NGE batch release. Take your time :) Regarding the spanish subs on EoE and NGE, i remember Sephirotic said that they were added to the batch but not modified and were mediocre (i have not looked at them). If you want I could give them a look and proofread them from ENG>SPA. Castillan is not my main language so I'll skip on that one. If you would like, let me know how can I get them so you can added them later.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@Skullcrane886 Going through subs for a whole series is a lot of work, and not everyone is up for it. I don't want to end up in a situation where I'm done and waiting on someone else for subs. I would recommend just chilling and waiting for the batch. I might have a better source for spanish subs anyways.
@mcbaws21 Okay, I understand. No problem and it would certainly be frustrating and annoying if you had to wait for someone else. If you still need help in the future let me know though. Also I forgot to ask, will you also be doing Revival of Evangelion/Death & Rebirth true (2)? (For collection completion purposes only, even if this is low priority in comparison to all your other projects)

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
fun fact, i've never actually watched it. i'll check it out once i'm done with the main series, and see if it's worth subbing.
Will you redo Evangelion 1.11 - 3.33 with the Amazon dubs and subs included? Also, Death(true)2 is meant to be seen before End of Evangelion as a double feature. Revival of Evangelion is just Death(true)2 and End of Evangelion combined into one film as originally intended. Death(true)2 also has a different English dub than the one for the series, matching Manga's dub for EoE.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
Yes, I will go over them and include the new dubs. And I know Death is a recap with a few extra scenes. If I do it, I'll make sure to include all the dubs.
Also, The End of Evangelion has a wrong sample rate at 44.1kHz in FLAC 6.1. I have the original DTS-ES track from the Manga DVD as well as the audio commentaries for Death and EoE, which you must add alongside the Platinum and 2.22 FUNi commentaries. Will you please include the original Manga and Netflix subtitles for Neon Genesis, Death and EoE as well as the original FUNimation, Neofilms HK and Amazon subtitles for the Rebuilds, both Full and Forced subs? There are also three different ADV subtitle scripts for Neon Genesis series: ADV VHS, ADV Perfect Collection and ADV Platinum Edition. Episode 25 and 26 also have different dubs on the old Perfect Collection DVD and the Platinum Edition DVD. Are your subtitles consistent with the canon Netflix terminology? For the NGE series, Death, and an updated EoE, I would probably wait for the GKIDS Blu-ray set since there is some speculation that it would have a new English dub with the Amazon cast and a tweaked version of the Netflix script. And finally, please also include the original 2.0 mixes for everything as an alternate option (even if it's not the original for the Rebuilds). And why are the Netflix dubs in AC3 Dolby Digital rather than EAC3 Dolby Digital Plus? That means some quality is lost.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
Yes, I'm planning to add commentarry audio, although I'm not sure about the DTS-ES track. There might be another, higher quality source out there. If you have a mega or drive folder with the audio or know a release that I can extract them from, please let me know, that would help me a lot. I already included the funimation subs for the rebuilds, I have no problem including the amazon subtitles as well, however I haven't heard of the Neofilms subs before. I am not using the original ADV script, instead using a combination of Datte13's sephirotic edit, netflix's tl, and translations of the original storyboards. I think I'm using the Platinum Edition dubs for 25 and 26. My subtitle edit is consistent with the original ADV terminology, but uses the (in some places) superior wording from netflix. On the GKIDS Blu-Ray set: if it includes any new dubs or better video I will make a v2 batch with the new dubs and/or encodes that arise. Although subbing is hard and progress is slow, so it'll probably take a few more months to release v1 anyways, at which point the new BD might be available anyways. I got the Netflix audio from DragsterPS, and I'm pretty sure I didn't mess with it. I'll take a look at it and make sure it's done properly next time.
I have the DragsterPS Netflix releases and they are indeed in Dolby Digital Plus (EAC3) but your release isn't. Neofilms apparently has different translations for the Rebuild films but they will probably use the Netflix subtitles for their subs for the OG series and movies. The Neofilms Blu-rays are really cheap on YesAsia. For the longest time, it was the only way to watch 3.33 officially with English subs. I think the Netflix subtitles were tweaked at some point, Kaworu says "worthy of my affection" instead of "worthy of my grace". DragsterPS still has the old Netflix subs and old Italian dub which was so terrible that they made a new Netflix Italian dub from scratch. Personally, I think the Netflix scripts are the closest to Hideaki Anno's intention. Someone preserved the ADV VHS subtitles in the EvaGeeks Forums, I have the Perfect Collection DVDs (but no means of ripping them) and the Platinum subtitles are easy to come by. There is also very basic and primitive typesetting for the Amazon and Netflix subs but they only take effect if you officially stream them in the official sites and apps with an actual subscription (or a free trial). If the Netflix/Amazon subs should be preserved, they should use a similar (or exact) font as the streaming app/sites with the subtitle placements like they would appear on the app (rather than always at the bottom like direct rips). I suggest you convert the SRT/UTF-8 Netflix/Amazon subs to ASS, set the similar or exact Netflix/Amazon fonts and manually set the placement of the subtitles like in the streams. Maybe you should do this for at least the English subs both Signs and Full. You should preserve as many of these subtitles as possible.
>set the similar or exact Netflix/Amazon fonts better just set them to Gandhi Sans (or any good font used by fansub groups) and call it a day instead of Arial or whatever the fuck they use
Personally, Beatrice-Raws has the best encode for NGE and not Yurasyk. It is the most purist one.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
Actually, Beatrice has a lot of issues. Like some weird green/red haloing on comps 4, 6 and 8 here: https://slow.pics/c/uOPE9um5 I will admit Yurasyk has some issues, like oversharpening and aliasing 9 a bit, but I think it's better overall.
Yurasyk actually looks softer and a touch degrained. I think Beatrice is truer to the original source and has more of that sweet grain. Plus, I prefer them all being in HEVC for consistency. Also, I hope all your lossless audio is in Dolby TrueHD to match Beatrice-Raws audio, which is the best for everything since some of Beatrice-Raws audio is in 24-bit rather than 16-bit like some of your FLACs. I would also retain the original 2.0 audio tracks from Beatrice-Raws as alternate options. And lastly, I would also have Beatrice-Raws' extras, while having more extras from other sources (or even BD remuxes for them).

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
I'll happily take a bit less grain over color bleed / haloing issues. No, I won't leave the audio as TrueHD, since it has compatibility issues and won't play on some players and devices. 24-bit audio is placebo too, and I'm pretty sure that there isn't any actual 24-bit source for eva. I will be including extras though.
Very well, I will take Beatrice-Raws' video and Japanese audio for my personal copy while still taking your foreign audio and subtitles.
@mcbaws21 ike some weird green/red haloing on comps 4, 6 and 8 This is not a problem. This line outline is present on bdmv. Yurasyk removed it with color dehalo, but I left it untouched, as I consider it to be part of LineArt the anime.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
@Jensen I’m not saying your encode is necessarily bad, just that I personally think it’s better without the outline. I might take a closer look at the encodes anyways to make sure I use the better one. I respect your decisions, and thanks for working hard to get great encodes for eva!
When you do the NGE and Death releases, will the Netflix dub have Fly Me to the Moon patched back in or will they be 1:1 with the Netflix versions. I just hope you can also put out separate MKAs that only contain the dubs and subs so people can easily patch them to Beatrice-Raws' release. I especially want to do this with the Rebuilds so I have both FUNimation and Amazon dubs, especially since the dubs for 3.33 can't easily be synced with Beatrice-Raws' Blu-ray rip. I would not just have your own fansubs, but also the FUNimation subs in PGS and the Amazon subtitles in SRT with each dub also having their own Forced Signs subtitle track. The OG series and movies should have the ADV DVD subs converted and upscaled from 480p VOBSUB to 1080p PGS with the Netflix subs being SRT subs. Also, for terminology, the Netflix terminology is the canon one versus ADV's terminology.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
i already have fly me to the moon losslessly edited into every single netflix dub. i will also have the nced include every version of fly me to the moon as separate audio tracks. the rebuilds and end of eva already use beatrice-raws' video so you don't have to remux those. the beatice and yurasyk releases are timed identically so you would only have to replace the video in mkvtoolnix if you wanted. i will include every single dub for every single piece of media though, so you wouldn't have to patch those anyways. I do plan to have official subs as an alternative option in the batch. for terminology, arid and i are looking at official materials such as artbooks and booklets, as well as simply choosing terms that make more sense. i don't know where your claim that netflix's terminology is "official" comes from, when i'd say that the technical speech is the worst part of netflix's script. seriously, it has tons of issues.
I only want the dubs and alternate subtitles from your releases as well as some other extras. I am still keeping Beatrice-Raws' video and TrueHD audio (which I prefer over FLAC since it is easier to bitstream via. HDMI). I would also either convert any FLAC audio track to Dolby TrueHD with eac3to or convert the Dolby TrueHD tracks to FLAC.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
again, all of beatrice's truehd audio is just converted from pcm. the only advantage truehd has over flac is the metadata and dolby atmos support, but you get neither of those since it's just converted from pcm, which has neither. instead, flac is the better choice for this use-case, because it compresses the audio more efficiently and is easier to decode for weaker devices. truehd also has compatibility issues and doesn't work on every media player. seriously, just stick to flac.
If your FLAC will be smaller than Beatrice's TrueHD with the same quality, which it definitely will be, I will accept FLAC instead. FLAC is basically very LPCM but much smaller in terms of AVR support. I just hope all your FLAC tracks have both stereo and 5.1 for everything just like Beatrice-Raws. Also, in addition to the OG series and Revival of Evangelion, will you also do Death & Rebirth (Theatrical Cut, different from Revival of Evangelion which is Death(true)2 + EoE)? And will you do the IMAX 4K version of Q called 3.333? Beatrice-Raws will be ripping it. But if you are ripping it, I hope you can sync both FUNimation (Ver. 2) and Amazon dubs even if the dubs are for the 3.33 version. The FUNimation (Ver. 1) dub which was shown in cinemas is currently lost media and I hope it can somehow leak. There is a chance that the 4K UHD releases of Q and Shin will have Dolby Atmos and/or DTS:X audio, so it would be better to leave these in Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA respectively than to convert them to FLAC. But if they will be plain 5.1 or 7.1, then they would be best converted to FLAC.

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
I won't include the theatrical cut of Death & Rebirth, since it's obsolete. Revival of Eva has more and better footage at a higher quality, since the theatrical cut was only ever released on DVD. I will use Beatrice-Raws' encode of 3.333. I will see what I can do about syncing dubs. There is no Dolby Atmos audio, only 5.1 and 2.0 PCM, as specified on the product page. https://www.evangelion.co.jp/3_0/bd_dvd.html
@HARVEST be reasonable please. This isn't the Grand Evangelion Preservation Project, it's trying to be a definitive release to watchers of the show with the Japanese and English dubs. Why would we preserve any other subs if the effort is being made to edit existing ones in the first place to create the best subtitles possible? What's the point of all this effort if we aren't aiming to create a collection of all the Evangelion media (because that's not what's happening here). We are discussing making a separate batch later on with all the audios and official subs and whatever else, I personally have no interest in that but as much as you have expressed interest in it, it's a bunch of effort that I think you should really be thinking about what you are asking for here. If you want so much for all of what you asked for to happen, contribute to it being possible. But again this is just my opinion on the matter. End of Eva English audio will probably be the original DTS-ES English track as far as I can tell and there are currently plans to add Amazon dubs to the rebuilds. I can't comment on anything else at this time as I haven't looked into everything else enough. And if this back and forth keeps going, this will literally end up becoming one of the most commented pages on nyaa.
@mcbaws21 The theatrical cut of Death & Rebirth is on Blu-ray and has been encoded by Beatrice-Raws here: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1325735 The DVD-only release you have been referring to is Death(true) and Rebirth which was only shown on Japanese television and is only available in the Archives of Evangelion DVD BOX. The theatrical cut of Death & Rebirth has some exclusive footage which was cut out of later releases. This footage is the Director's Cut footage which was cropped to 4:3 when they were reintegrated to the TV series. Death & Rebirth has them in the original widescreen presentation, while the TV series footage is cropped from 4:3 to widescreen. The theatrical cut of Death & Rebirth is also slightly sharper than Death(true)2. Speaking of which, I have been really interested in seeing open matte variable aspect ratio (like Christopher Nolan IMAX films) versions of Episodes 21' - 24' Director's Cuts and Death & Rebirth + Death(true)2 where all the original TV series footage is in 4:3 from the TV series while the new Director's Cut/Death footage is in 16:9 from Death & Rebirth. This basically means that most of the film is in 4:3 but it expands to 16:9 for the new footage. Similar to how some Christopher Nolan films are mostly in 2.40:1 or 2.20:1 CinemaScope but expand to 16:9 in IMAX scenes. I know you won't do it but I really hope someone does make it.
https://wiki.evageeks.org/End_of_Evangelion_Death_Threats some translated letters
I have the Death(true)2 and EoE English dubs as well as commentaries and subs in their full quality but they are in my hard drive which I sent for repairs. I should be getting them soon but it has been weeks.
Baws, one question, i don't think it's my monitor but i feel like in 02 vs eva series the intense red of eva 02 looks like color corrected to be so intense as to eat up lineart on some places is this a fault of the original blu-ray source or have i something wrong perhaps in my settings? i checked but it doesn't look like it's the latter ...

mcbaws21 (uploader)

User
it's very intensely red in the original source. it might be even more intense depending on your display. i can tell you for sure there is nothing wrong with the encode though.
yeah it might just be default from source, it was because i came across this picture that i thought, wow how bright is that https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/qOsAAOSwazlgXdqL/s-l1600.jpg

because it's impossible to read but you can still see the distracting ts. i still left in the somewhat readable words like "rapeman" and "die, anno". if anybody wants to read the full letters they can just look it up on evageeks
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Raa2839YZ4KHw4zmFLKpiRpJZvBrUtYh?usp=sharing Here are my audio and subtitle rips of the Classic Manga dubs and subtitles for Death(true)2 and The End of Evangelion. These are bit-perfect rips from the DVDs in AC3 and DTS-ES, with VOBSUB subtitles. If I were you, I would add Classic prefixes to the ADV and Manga translations as well as Official prefixes to the Netflix translations, while the fansubs would have Unofficial prefixes.

What's the difference between Full Subtitles Signs and Signs? They both seem to just be the full subtitles.

I'm just surprised no one has told you after all this time. Does no one care about the dub? lol Please v4 or v5 this though!

harvest, you are a special kind of autistic and i can respect that. also, can be bump this to 100 comments?
Which has better video, though? This or the Remux?

they're virtually identical, remux might be slightly better
That's odd. Encodes are supposed to be better due to filtering.
@HachiRokuNiSanKyu They can, but most "encoders" are idiots when it comes to filtering, which is way a large percentage of remuxes are better!
Maybe it's time for a rewatch.
Rather enjoyable experience for what it's worth. A Few blunders: I don't understand why you changed "I'm the worst" to "I'm so fucked up". This is not even a localization territory, this is shitty dubbing. A true shame. The unchanged "Oh dear god" from Misato. "Ritsuko Ritsuko Ritsuko" instead of "Senpai Senpai Senpai". "Dr. Akagi" instead of "Senpai" etc. Who is this release for? "Hardcore" fans or average joe binge watching on netflix? Meh. Hopefully rebuild films are better, as this anime was a disappointment.

@Nokiya I do agree I was a bit liberal with some bits, but that doesn't necessarily make the script worse. I chose to avoid/remove Japanese honorifics and titles for this release, which is why I went for some of those later changes. The goal was to produce something fluent and natural, which is also why I will defend the line "I'm so fucked up". "I'm the worst" is tame and doesn't evoke as much emotion. While it may not be as literal, I feel that "fucked up" is a much better match for the scene. Even if you disagree with that choice, I don't see how that puts it into "shitty dubbing" territory - the origin of this line is the classic translation from the Platinum Collection DVDs. The line "I'm so fucked up" is also a meme unto itself, and commonly associated with this scene.
@mcbaws21 >While it may not be as literal, I feel that “fucked up” is a much better match for the scene. Even if you disagree with that choice, I don’t see how that puts it into “shitty dubbing” territory - the origin of this line is the classic translation from the Platinum Collection DVDs This is incorrect. The Platinum Edition never contained The End of Evangelion in the west because ADV never licensed End of Eva, Manga Entertainment did. The line was "I'm so fucked up" in Manga Entertainment's dub and the scriptwriter/director for the dub, Amanda Winn-Lee, has said that she also modified the subtitles to sound closer to her dub (don't ask why she did this because I have no fucking clue lmao). So Nokiya is actually kinda right on that front. I think it does change the meaning a bit too much, since one being "fucked up" doesn't inherently mean they're below everyone else, which Shinji believes he is.
@mcbaws21 Hey I'm not good at these things, i downloaded the anime. for the rest ill get the EOE, 1.1, 2.2, 3.3 from you and thrice upon a time from [Krycek7o2], are these the best on nyaa?I don't care how much space they occupy, i just want the best quality thanks for the uploads! (ill get the remux from Krycek7o2 the 86gig one: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1731111)

usbd remux is best video quality for the show and EoE, you can get that from vanner64 https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1500649. the downside for the usbd is that fly me to the moon is removed, so choose accordingly. i also recommend watching the 4k version of 3.333 https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1648811 instead of mine. for 3.0+1.0 i would go with RaptoR instead of krycek https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1647429. if you want to save some space, his smaller version of 3.0+1.0 with the beatrice encode is also fine tbh https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1675407.
