### **_What Is The Westwood Dub & Why It Takes So Long To Sync:_**
This dub only aired in international English speaking countries (UK, Canada, Netherlands etc.). It is a rare lost media that has been preserved by fans who recorded this from TV between 2001 to 2005. This dub **will never have a official release on DVD** due to being stuck in licensing hell. The Westwood dub was heavily edited for TV airing meaning that each episode has approx. **2 Minutes** of cut content. This can be anywhere in the episode. It takes about 1 to 2 hours to sync one episode because of these cuts. We are doing this lengthy process per episode in order to preserve this dub, and to prevent it from being _lost to time_. Here is what the typical timeline looks like for a single episode:

@kakarot Read the description:

The whole reason this version exists is because it is impossible to sync the Westwood dub to uncut video without having to fill the gaps with something else. That is not what this project does.
@iKaos But the other edited dubs had the gaps filled in with the FUNimation remastered dub.
Speaking of which, I would recommend filling in those gaps with Japanese audio instead, as I commented in another SoM torrent:
>Also, here is a suggestion.
>How about the edited dubs that have missing gaps would instead have said gaps filled in with the Japanese audio instead of the FUNimation dub?
>This would essentially mean that wherever there are gaps due to editing, the audio will turn into Japanese with English subs that are consistent with said edited dubs.
>This is a similar practice to what 20th Century Fox Japan has been doing for their Blu-rays, where some made-for-TV Japanese dubs that were edited for censorship or time would have the missing gaps filled in with audio from the original English instead of the home video Japanese dub (in Japan, dubs are made for different TV stations and there would also be different dubs for home video and even theatrical releases sometimes).

>Maybe have these “purist” dubs be separate MKA downloads that also contain their forced subtitles that translate signs and Japanese dialogue.
