MONSTER, original work by Urasawa Naoki, MADHOUSE, all 74 TV episodes + 1/2 recaps fansubbed by (the legendary) Soldats! First of all, MONSTER is a masterpiece, both the manga and the anime, no question about that. The anime of this calibre needs the best subs available - and here they are: the legendary Soldats version. It has been sixteen years since I burned these files on DVDs and I managed to salvage the episodes outta them a few days ago. These files have been totally vanished from the 'Net, so it's about time them to emerge again. I am not entirely sure if Soldats ever subbed the second recap (episode 52b) but other than that, every episode is by them. I know we have better options, picture quality wise, but none of them use these Soldats subs, and I consider them a masterpiece of fansubbing. The quality is 480p and these are TV rips so keep that in mind. The main point of this is to show how amazing fansubbers were back in early 2000s, with names like Ani-Kraze, A-Keep, AonE and of course, Soldats. Anyways, this is it, this is MONSTER!

Soldats... i remember them... probably have a couple of their finished work archived on DVD

This is just my memory, but the original files for 63-74 weren't hashed in the first place for some reason, so I took liberty to rename them because those episodes were downloaded from somewhere else by me, back in 2005 I mean - Soldats already had taken off the files from the tracker so I vaguely remember searching for them. And yes, Figmentos uses Soldats as a base, but episode 17-22 are by Ani-Kraze and the subs are modified.

Hmm.. I checked anidb and interestingly enough, the last thing they did was to finish NOIR. Kinda ironic, because Soldats took their name from NOIR (Les Soldats). But they never subbed - according to anidb - the first ten episodes so I am pretty sure no one has the files anymore. That was in 2018, six years after their latest upload. Again, this is just my memory, but I think Soldats got a threat from VIZ about MONSTER, and after that they took off the files from the tracker and pretty much stopped being active. I remember vaguely speaking about this in some IRC channel back in 20XX.
