Let me preface this by saying: *fuck* filtering ufotable shows. Massive pain in the behind.
This show's OP/EDs feature a lot of grain, heavy chroma noise, particles, and dust clouds. In the interest of trying to fix up as much as possible without destroying too much detail, my filtering was mainly focused on trying to get rid of compression artifacting and fixing up the annoying lineart. Debanding and similar was also performed but masked very strongly so there may be some leftover banding visible from time to time. I also decided to zone some scenes to prevent the bitrate from spiking when it can really perfectly represent the video at a lower bitrate (mainly reserved for super grainy scenes with unclear detail that eat up bitrate for very little gain).
The base filterchain consists of descaling (@855p, Spline36) and rescaling (nnedi3 + bicubic, masked to edges only), followed by weak luma denoising and strong chroma denoising. Afterwards, grain stabilisation was performed, and then the result was decsized. After this, I did a weak nnedi3 + eedi3 clamp and clamped that with sraa to try and straighten out some of the messy lines and bad cleaning on certain frames. This was followed by a weak line darkening and masked dehalo. Credits were merged if relevant, after which it was debanded and adaptive dynamic grain was added (stronger than usual because imo it actually suits ufo's style very well).
Certain OP/EDs also received some scenefiltering. For specifics, please refer to the relevant scripts in the repo.
Note that I was unable to fix the banding in NCED2 @0:35 without utterly destroying the background (I tried! I really did!).
(Also yes, Ep5 and Ep6 both had two EDs.)
Requests are welcome, but don't count on me to follow through with yours from the get-go.
