The source is LN, not manga. Before saying SL pussied out, get the sources right. Wouldn't be the first time a manga is different from the LN or goes a lot more graphic. Comparing to the manga reads like someone who says the human side in Kumo was anime filler because it wasn't in the manga

I just don't like the idea of comparing anime adaptations of LNs to the manga instead of the LNs. I don't like the idea of spreading around the misunderstanding anime adapts manga and not LNs. It just makes people forget LNs exist or act like manga are all faithful and good. When there's lots of manga that are shit adaptations themselves. Like the mentioned Kumo axing the humans or NoWaYu We should always compare anime to the source not another adaptation in a different medium I guess I'm just nitpicky and bothered more by comparing to the manga instead of the LN than the actual complaint
