Here are a new set of raws for the 1986 anime Wonder Beat Scramble, ripped in 576p by yours truly.
Thanks goes out to the anonymous uploader who posted the DVD-9 VIDEO_TS folders for this series, which allowed me to construct ISOs & rip the raws.
These appear to be from an official R2 DVD set, but they use TV masters, which means you can see the sponsorship message after the opening credits and at the end of every episode. They don't look bad though, and apparently went through just a touch of clean-up and remastering before being put on the DVDs.
Episodes 9 and 10 ripped as one long episode with 10 minutes of black space between them, so I split them into two separate files in VLC. That's why they're larger than most of the other files. The others range in size from 288 MB to 398 MB, and are in a MKV format.
If you're not familiar with this series, the best way I can describe it is that its the 1950's sci-fi film "Fantastic Voyage" in an episodic anime format. The series was also supervised by Osamu Tezuka, who came on after every episode and delivered a brief message about the human body, health, fitness, and some of his personal feelings and beliefs. Interesting stuff from a very wise and very talented man who is sorely missed. The series is also full of that glossy mid-80's mecha animation the decade was known for, so if you're into that, you're in for a real treat.
Enjoy this extremely rare piece of anime history, and be sure to seed for as long as you're able!
