The source is of an acceptable quality, with a native resolution of 720P. An over-blurring interpolation algorithm was used during upscaling and the chroma bleeding is very obvious. Therefore, our solution is to fix the chroma bleeding problem on the chroma planes, and we also descaled and reconstructed the luma planes. Slight de-banding, contra-sharpening and adaptive-denoise were applied afterwards. By fixing chroma bleeding and reversing the over-blurring algorithm, the sharpness of this encode is visually improved.
