(Old comment for S1 encoded in HEVC) The BD picture quality of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! is mediocre: the line art has issues like ringing, aliasing and blurring, and some of the plane areas look corrupted due to strong noise. We did our best to fix the issues with the line art, made it sharper and darker, in order to make it visually better without deviating too much from the source; the plane areas were adaptively denoised, and finally encoded with HEVC (Old comment for S2 encoded in HEVC) The BD quality of S2 is again mediocre: sligh aliasing near borderlines + chroma overflow. pp: fix line artifacts plus sligh sharpening, apply debanding and textural enhancement. The movie source shares better quality compared with the TV series, thus, we only applied conservative processing.
