@Aryma
Not good imo. I recall some stuff was simplified/omitted on the US BD. US BD also has hard subbed signs.
Picture quality is quite a bit worse on US BD (lots of banding), but at least US BD can be used to repair some of the shots that are overfiltered on JP BD.
Your options here are something of a mixed bag; the [Toriaezu] release is not a polished product, nor was it ever intended to be, and as such still has some minor mistranslations and sentences that could use additional editing, not to mention Wapanese like inserting the character’s name when a simple ‘you’ would suffice. It was just something to hold people over until either the official release or the cartel’s release (any day now…) came out but ended up becoming the default choice because every other Shirobako the Movie fansub stinks. All of this isn’t to say that it’s bad, just that it’s far from perfect.
I don’t recall there being anything particularly wrong with the official, only that they paraphrased some lines and the dialogue sounded rather flat as a result. Maybe character per second limits had something to do with that? There were also a few jokes that were either not translated or lost in translation.

Wow finally.
