@HowUnfortunate Please don't be silly, in contrary, we're very critical about AV1 and if you were there, you'd know many members praise AV1 while still being honest about x265 being better for very high fidelity encodes.

I see some of the usual people are here just shitting on everything, but this is far too bad.
I'm sure encoding with 4x the bitrate would have resulted in a far better encode.
It also doesn't help that you were using ffmpeg libaom-av1 with suboptimal settings honestly.
In fact, it really surprises me, especially with how many resources there are on the subject.
