## The Transfer
" This Newly Remastered Transfer Based On 4K Scan of Tokyo Godfather is night and day different than it’s DVD predecessor. Having owned the early era DVD it does not hold up to modern standards. The new Blu-Ray is nothing short of spectacular. This version reflects more of was projected back in 2003 (which I was lucky enough to see in its limited run). The film is positively gorgeous with Kon and his animation team working in an almost Chiaroscuro color scheme. Something that the Blu-Ray’s transfer only enhances. "

Would you consider doing Spriggan?

All existing 1080p encodes are not that great so THORA's 14-year-old 720p encode is still, somehow, the best there is.
You got me hooked completely with this release. Thank you so much!
Out of topic:
I thought I owe you something for V2 Vampire Hunter D. So I viewed it already and can say I didn't see any defect. https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1610807
Also I viewed Roujin Z, and it seemed perfect as well. https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1506708
Thank you for these.

First English subtitles track is SDH, so with additional audio information. I found a bit awkward that it to be displayed at first instead of normal subtitles. But I guess, because the remastered BD is from US or UK, first audio would be English, therefore for people with hearing disabilities, SDH subtitles would be first choice to be available for them, instead of normal subtitles that are to pair with the Japanese audio which comes as an option.
May someone correct me if I'm wrong.
The two English subtitles seem to have a different script.
Stylized subtitles we are used to (in previous releases like Iznjie Biznjie or REVO) seem to be sourced from the second "normal" English track.
At least during the few first minutes of the movie, the dialogue in the SDR English track seemed more detailed and "colorful". It gave me a different insight of what was happening, despite I knew the scenes with the usual subtitles.
I wonder which of the two English tracks is supposed to be more literal and the other more liberal.
Answering to myself: SDH subtitles for people with hearing disabilities are to be paired with an audio track of the same language. Therefore English SDH subs are supposed to be set up with a corresponding dub audio playing. They are supposed to be an exact transcription of what is being said in the English version of the dialogues, therefore not exactly what is said in Japanese.
