I mean I checked what he used to translate these and it seems like he is using OpenAI’s Whisper project. AI or MTL doesn’t matter, it’s the same thing. But the accuracy of OpenAI’s Whisper is way better than any other services or trained language models out there. Even google’s trained model falls to their knees on this one.
Also, it’s not like most of the viewers watch such anime to study philosophy or what the character has to offer to them. Isekai Uncle is a comedy and fantasy genre, so I am sure, subs with added gags and mistranslation would not hurt a thing. The plot is pretty simple and the dialogues in this series hardly contribute anything to the main plotline that much. Most of the time it’s silly gags and satire. Even in the complex dialogue, a little bit of here and there mistranslate won’t hurt a thing, you half japo weabo hitlers should calm down and wait for the official release if it’s that much unwatchable to you. It’s funny seeing people get upset over simple grammatical errors at least according to some dude who supposedly knew japanese and pointed out the so-called “unacceptable” errors in the subs. People who know japanese as a second language always have sky high egos and it’s sad to think of what will happen to them when they are completely phased out due to future tech advances.

I actually don’t think this particular [anon] release is MTL. It kinda reminds me of [Arche] subs for Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall - terrible, but full of SOVL.
