The score is the same and even played at the same locations and instances as in the game, animation and artwork is obviously better than the game. They even went and added a special segment at the end of each episode explaining the multiple silly endings of the game so as to not miss a single thing from the game. I think what people are just trying to say is , I feel it has something to do with this- The reason some people don't like this anime is because of the copy paste, they have played the game and the time it takes them to get to the sand area was hours perhaps days of playing the game, you would expect the game to be a certain way and anime to be different but similar. I think the copy paste is what made it boring, the music is beautiful though graphics are amazing, storyline is great, but the copy paste knowing what's going to happen and having short battle scenes seems rather low grade. It really is more of a fan thing, fan of the game, fan of replay of the game, watch the anime. They even had the jukebox area shown in the anime lol, we all went there in the game. It's literally something that I think if they make this anime based off Nier Automata, I would have liked to see more of a Nier replicant scenes in there, and perhaps a sequel to the game in the anime itself, I would have loved to see imagination like time travel of androids going into the past of Nier replicant and meeting up with the heroes of Nier 1 and perhaps changing destiny in the past, to also change destiny in the future perhaps to spoiler alert --------------------------------- don't read passed here if you don't want to get spoiled----------------------- prevent someone's death in Automata via data temporal time travel much like the peripheral tv show which has an epic unique storyline by the way. So really think that this anime I understand could have been better, more added characters added interactions longer travel and fight scenes, and err I'm still waiting for both analogue sticks pressed together in the anime loll. Alright in all honesty I still like it, but I've played the game I'm kinda bored seeing the same thing happen, I know what happens and it's just really watching it for nostalgic reasons and nothing else. The music is copy pasted I'll just sit back listen to the music and wait for those analogue babies to click lol

@Rowan keep this civil m8 everyone is entitled to their own opinions even the haters unfortunately, whomever hates this anime though you are doing it because you've played the game and wanted more from it. I had someone watch the anime without playing the game they liked it but said it felt short, I replied well yeah the game itself was kinda short and desolate large open sand space and there was only one major boss fight there then all that space became useless for the rest of the game, and there was nothing to kill but robots/machines sorry I'm not killing animals that I'm riding on lol. The game needed something else in it, it needed open world, it needed more characters in the environment more things to do, if it was a planet open world we could get to use those flying machines, it needs a sequel to give this game to us and 2 bring back b and A2 could team up in the open world. Don't care if its a reboot or remake, I want Xenoblade chronicles X style size world with more variety of monsters to kill and explore, find secret items, weapons, outfits and accessories and lots more treasure to find JRPG style. It also needs a young female yorha like a female version of 9S's hacking so then there would be more family and interactions with them. lol every Anime and game needs little characters of both gender to make it even better, all the great anime's have this sword art online has many, and take your pick you name it there's always kids in them. Don't go fbi on me or shit I'm an artist I see depth in everything ever made in this life, I can put my money down and make anything ever made better.
