Synopsis: In Chiba Prefecture’s Kataori City Hall, plans to launch a taiga drama commence with the esteemed Ino Tadataka—the man who created Japan’s first surveyed map—as the lead character. Halfway through making the script, however, panic befalls the team when it’s discovered that Tadakata passed away before the map’s completion. Meanwhile, back in the year 1818 of the Edo period, Tadakata’s grieving apprentices enact a plan to follow in their master’s footsteps and complete the map.
