Final part of Yamibo. The show is old so it has a 4x3 aspect ratio-if you look at the ar flag if you open it with media info it's set to 16x9, When I remuxed the first episode off the bd I set it to 4x3 thinking it was a mistake and found out the video was squished on the horizontal axis to about 2/3 of the normal 4x3 ratio. When I remuxed it with the ar set back to 16x9 I got normal 4x3 again. When you watch it on a normal tv it should be 16x9.
I looked at the aspect ratio problem with MKVToolNix. It shows that aspect ratio is not set as such. Instead both Height and width is set to 1080x1080. Since the original 4:3 video frame has been embedded in 16:9 on the BD by adding black bars to the sides, the correct setting is aspect ratio 16:9. This can easily be done with MKVToolNix.
Simple, when a bd has a 4:3 aspect ratio the video is imbedded in a 16:9 aspect ratio with horizontal black bars on both sides due to the fact the bd format can't display 4:3 video.
