Every edition of this movie except for Japanese one carry the same audio issue: when 1st international edition were made, someone decided to remove CRT noise but ended up screwing up the whole thing. Editions after that using screwed up audio. Check quick comparison: https://soundcloud.com/qarmaa299/sets/millennium-actress-jp-vs-us
Just FYI: Indeed there is some CRT noise present on the original master audio file however it doesn't stay on one frequency (≈15.7 kHz is where CRT lands) it's rather floating (idk particular reason). So it can't be removed by simple EQ or something. On the other hand, CRT noise is not that loud, other frequencies actually mask it most of the times.

As a source for this, JP edition audio were used. It had [fake 96 kHz audio](https://i.imgur.com/9lcFaJI.png) (there is no information present above ≈22 kHz) so it's been downsampled to 48 kHz with iZotope RX. As a result -- there is 'BD' labeled file. It's meant to be used with JP BD (where 48 frames before Klock Worx logo starts to appear).
'UHD' labeled audio are made out of JP edition audio as well with fps being changed 23.976 → 24 and synced up to UK UHD release (UHD release have Klock Worx logo appear on 29th frame).
For 2019 US release use 'UHD' labeled file, it will be perfectly in sync with it 'cause UHD and 2019 US BD have same video master.
__!__ Since files encoded in DTS, they have priming of 1024 samples (more here: https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/QuickTime/QTFF/QTFFAppenG/QTFFAppenG.html), so if you gonna use out of authoring software, keep that in mind.
-------------------
Audio length just in case:
BD
01:26:21:00 SMPTE @ 23.976 fps / 124344 frames / 248936688 samples
UHD
01:26:18:13 SMPTE @ 24 fps / 124285 frames / 248570000 samples
Enjoy.
No, that's a lie by the publisher(s). It is an upscale. If you compare the UHD version to the old disks, and think about what you're looking at in the context of them needing to cover up motion stabilization, it becomes obvious. As in, the first frame of a scene will match the old disk (except for the fact that it's cropped), but subsequent frames will not because they're stabilized.
Well, whatever. For me it's good update from any 1080p release: https://slow.pics/c/u2fLJmwy. US 2018 version use the same master but have own issues like halos and stuff. Judging by the picture, it doesn't quite look like 1080p upscale at least: https://slow.pics/c/GDK6w0uf
