Thank you. Unfortunately it turns out that this version of the show uses old, worse animation and is missing bonus scenes that were added in the BDs. Meanwhile, Netflix has the BD version of the video.

The tatami galaxy, ping pong the animation, humanity has declined, nichijou, the wind rises, bakemonogatari, kill la kill, hunter x hunter, mob psycho 1/2 (but not 3), kino's journey (2001), panty & stocking with garterbelt... @oosik that would explain it.

I mean who cares if some supposed elitist like these shows? I'm pretty sure this stuff is still miles better than your run-of-the-mill standard trash series that gets pushed out each season in industrial quantities. Sometimes if many people point out that something is good you should probably try it and not dismiss it just because autists share the same opinion. This doesn't apply everywhere since the top 100 of MAL is full of shit, but you get what I'm saying. Also, a few more shows since I checked my anime list: shirobako, katanagatari, asobi asobase, shinsekai yori, mawaru penguindrum, watamote. some hot takes: hyouka is the second best kyoani series by far, no game no life is good (enough), mind game, kaiba and kemonozume are bad. Gits is terrible (at least the first film, I didn't bother watching anything after that).
