Crunchyroll gets most major shows, while Hidive gets far less and usually the shows it gets are fairly niche. So even if someone has been grabbing weekly shows from Nyaa for years, there's a non-insignificant chance they've never tried a Hidive simulcast.
One translation mistake I've found at about the 3:30 mark, "What? This situation, this is not how the childhood memory scene that I saw in the game went." The character uses the words "ja nai" which the translator mistakenly takes as a simple negative... The true meaning of the spoken japanese is actually the exact opposite: "What? This situation... this is exactly like the childhood memory scene I saw in the game, isn't it?"
and again, at 4:32-34, she says "Tte! Manma no ima no joukyou ja nai!" and they mistranslated it as "That's not the situation right now!" when it should actually be the exact opposite: "Wait, that's this exact moment/situation, isn't it!"
So we have a character who uses the "isn't it!?" expression a lot, maybe, and a translator who is taking it to mean a simple negative statement, when it's actually a question form meant to express frustration or disbelief....
@maatsu hey giga retard, it isn't subsplease's fault, it's literally a crunchy rip, it's crunchy's shit translators. Send CR an email you pirated their upload and complain to them. Lmfao
edit: I certainly hear things I would translate differently, but I don't ever comment on the uploader and blame them. The reason the translations from CR are so bad is they hire a bunch of minorities who barely know English let alone Japanese, yet they can put English into better grammar than a Japanese person can (because English is hard for Japanese people and visa versa). It wouldn't surprise me if they are using shit "AI" to do subs now. Kek
@Rowan hey virgin retard, I wasn't saying it was subsplease 's fault, i'm just saying it's been like this since since horriblesubs era. and yes, know ~~horrible~~subsplease just rips cr lol. god bless you though.
