**Trama**
Famoso per il suo servizio militare nella Guerra Asiatica, il leggendario robot Montblanc viene violentemente assassinato. Il detective dell'Europol Gesicht viene inviato a indagare sul caso e, nella sua ricerca, scopre le prove di un'entità misteriosa conosciuta solo come "Pluto". Viene inoltre a conoscenza di un complotto adito a smantellare gli otto robot specializzati che hanno partecipato alla guerra. Nella corsa contro il tempo per salvare coloro che ancora rimangono, Gesicht è alle prese con la memoria, la moralità e un mondo pieno di odio, nel tentativo disperato di difendere la fragile convivenza tra uomo e macchina.
