Hello again, It was a long week for everyone involved but we finally got this episode out and managed to do it a few hours before episode 8 airs. TS-kun slaved away and did some amazing work as usual. TL-kun got things translated quickly as usual. ENC-kun had to do 3 encodes this week due to losing one at 96% due to a power outage. Then had to manually fix a few things due to this episode pushing up against the bitrate buffer for the entire first half. Things are a bit larger this week due to this ep containing 66 invidiual zones and over 100 forced I-frames. Sorry for the delay. There was a lot of work for everyone this week! ## BONUS CONTENT!: This week Ts-kun made a custom mouse cursor based on the one used by Koshi-tan in this episode. You can find it included inside of the .mkv file. You can also download it here: https://files.catbox.moe/kw8clr.cur ## Sources used: - Video 1: Erai-raws (CR WEBRip) - Audio: ZigZag (Anime Onegai WEBRip) - Subtitles: Original translation by anon (not based on any existing scripts) - Localization: Partial (Honorifics and some Japanese terms not translated) - Japanese closed captions: SweetSub with minor edits by anon - Chapters: YES, Not as many as lask week though. ## How to play: All our releases are designed for playback on set-top devices (e.g. AppleTV, Firesticks, Xbox One) with native .ass rendering support provided you use a good software player. For most devices we suggest KODI with either a third party Plex or Jellyfin plug-in. For AppleTV we HIGHLY suggest Infuse. Which will play back our releases for free since we use AAC/Opus audio. All our release playback on PC as well of course. We HIGHLY suggest using mpv or recent fork of MPC-HC with proper libass renderer. Note that if your device can not render .ass subtitles we've included an SRT version of the script. It's the same translation without signs due to the limitations of the SubRip subtitle format. These will work for devices that can't natively render .ass like Roku. ## Deer tips: We haven't had a proper deer tips in two weeks now so it's about time we started providing them again. This week we'll discuss proper bullet selection for hunting deer in the field. If you search around the internet you'll find a bunch of "experts" that claim you need a 20mm cannon to hunt deer. As with most things filled "expert" opinions this isn't really true. While it is true that a larger bullet will kill deer more quickly and reliably a bullet like a 300 Winchester Magnum is absolutely not required to hunt deer. In fact, I consider a bullet of this size to be over kill. This goes for all the "wonder" bullets on the market that cost $1+ per round. The truth is more deer have been killed with the good old .22lr than any other cartridge in the world. The little .22lr is plenty for dree and other mid-sized game animals. But it does require proper shot placement and skill. You also need to keep range in mind when using such a small bullet. You don't want to wound and lose an animal. Especially when it's the difference between eating and not eating. While it works the .22lr is not exactly ideal. As such I suggest using nothing smaller than .410 shotshell. The .410 bore shotgun is the perfect combination of size, weight, stopping power and range for a new/youth hunter. It's the ideal firearm for children, women and other small framed people. They are also generally cheap and pack enough stopping power for home defense situations. For deer in particular I highly reccomend the .410 slug. Which should be fine for taking deer within 100 yards. The only downside to .410 shotshells is they tend to be less common than the 12 gauge. So if you're up to the additional kick and recoil of the larger shotshell 12 gauge is probably what you want. I suggest using #4 or 00 (double alt) buckshot in 12 gauge. Slugs work to but they pack a wallop. For rifles outside of .22lr most anything will work. I've taken deer with 30-06 out of an M1 Garand, .308, 30-30. The various .30 calibers are all fine provided you do your part. On the smaller side of things 5.56mm/.223 and related bullets will work just fine as well. Just be mindful of shot placement and the range. You do not need any wonder bullet loadings for cartridges like 5.56mm the standard 55gr military surplus works fine. An SKS/AK in 7.62x39 will work fine as well and used to be my go to cheap rifle/bullet combo for this type of thing. But with the recent importing bans on surplus ammo along with what used to be $90-$200 rifles not over $1k on the second hand market I've using them as often. But if that's all you have then it will serve you fine in the field. Next week we'll discuss how to make a friendly and inviting environment for your local deer. You'll have your own Noko sleeping in your backyard in no time. ## Contact us: There has been some interest expressed in various places by people that have said they'd like to help out with things like QC and other stuff. If you'd like to contact us for any reason. Even just to say thanks you can do so here: deerstalker[at]waifu.club ## Want to send us money? We'll never ask you for money.
