i hate to say this, but when I saw this uploaded a few hours ago, I checked Nyaa for other versions.... the version of this anime that was uploaded 15 years ago, made by fansub group RaX, seems to be better quality.... the encode looks slightly better, the subtitles are more professional, (they cover less of the screen, smooth and white, easily legible, as oppose to large blocky yellow style that looks like computer text) it is set to japanese audio with subs by default, with dub as the second audio track, and it's half the file size as well. I appreciate fansubbers bringing older shows back to light, but if you want a copy of this to watch in japanese, and plan to save it, the RaX version is, in my opinion, a better choice.
If there is any significant difference between this encode, and that one (for example, is this one uncensored in some way, and the older one not?) it wasn't immediately apparent from watching the first episode from both groups.

ah, one thing to recommend this download, the extras. I don't see them in other torrents, so for those anyway, there's enough reason to get this torrent. sorry I didn't notice that before.
Neither RaX nor Obscurerips are "fansub groups" -- if you compare the actual text of the subtitles between this release and RaX, you'll find they're exactly the same, because they're both the official translation, ripped from the US DVD released by Central Park Media. That's not a knock on either group, just a distinction that should be made.
