This is a brand new encode from the Japanese DVDs. I will make a separate release with the English and French dubs, since those dubs don't sync to the Japanese version thanks to them having both scenes that were cut as well as extra scenes added. This is a very old show so the video quality from the DVDs isn't great, lots of dot crawl, rainbow artifacts, and for some reason colors and bright details bleed towards the right side of the image. I tried to deal with all these artifacts as best as I could. From episode 4 onwards they decided to sharpen the hell out of their video, so I had to deal with all the haloing in those episodes also. After checking the rest of the DVDs, it seems like they stop over-sharpening the image after episode 16. Whoever mastered the DVDs also seems to have used some early-2000's DNR on the video, so there's a lot of ghosting in dark areas, it gets specially bad in scenes where they do a "screen shake" effect, unfortunately there's not much I can do about this. The DNR was applied on the top and bottom fields separately, which in turn causes there to be random combed frames where one field would be all smeared while the other would be smeared in a different way or not at all. Other than that, all episodes follow a unique telecine pattern all the way throughout, so I only had to deinterlace these random frames.
