Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper (死神, Shinigami?, literally, "Death God") —a death personification similar to the Grim Reaper—from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki. His newfound powers force him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife. Bleach has been serialized in the Japanese manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Jump since August 2001, and has been collected into 48 tankōbon volumes as of December 2010\[update\]. Since its publication, Bleach has spawned a media franchise that includes an ongoing animated television series that is produced by Studio Pierrot in Japan, two original video animations, four animated feature films, seven rock musicals, and numerous video games, as well as many types of Bleach-related merchandise. ======================================================================= Story ========= 204 "Ichigo's Seppuku Persuasion Strategy ☆" May 14, 2011 ---- "Ichigo no Seppuku Settoku Sakusen" (一護の切腹説得大作戦☆) January 27, 2009 In the real world, Ichigo is in school when he see Lurichiyo from the Kasumioji clan again; she has come back to the real world because she is angered that Kenryu, her retainer, would not allow her to play kemari when she has other important duties. This leads to an outburst between Lurichiyo and Kenryu, and Kenryu intends to kill himself to make Lurichiyo "happy". After Ichigo and his friends persuade Kenryu, they put on an act to fool Lurichiyo into forgiving him, but she sees through the trick. This leads to another argument about kemari and culminates in Lurichiyo challenging Kenryu to a kemari game to see who is right. (Note: filler ep 1 of 2, to sync anime with manga.)
