So I once bought Cromartie High School DVD-box, and was thinking that there aren't really any good releases of this series out there. And since I love this series, I wanted to make one myself. I made the encode look nice and made some effort to subtitles too. This release is encoded from R1 release, and uses official R1 DVD subtitles too. Some info of the files: 10bit X264 640x480 CRF 16.5 Also, the episodes are encoded as VFR, The main episodes are ~24 FPS but the endings are ~30 FPS. And chapters. I didn't encode the audio, but took the original AC-3 audio streams and muxed them in. And since this is a Dual-Audio release, it has two audio streams: 2ch 224 kbps AC-3 JPN audio (Default) 5.1 ch 448 kbps AC-3 ENG audio I also made two subtitle streams: One which contains all the dialogue, typeset and song translations (Default), and one with only typeset and song translations. So, you can switch the tracks to ENG audio and typeset-only subtitles if you want to watch it with ENG dub. If you see any mistakes, I can make a v2 patch to it. But I will not make any patches to translation or any really minor stuff, I'm not a translator, and I think the official translation is good enough, so I'm not going to change it. Also I went through the files many times and everything should be okay. And one thing I hope is that you would seed this, because I really don't have an awesome internet connection, only 1 mbps upload connection. I'm doing these things alone, without a server. So once the files has spread enough, please keep this alive. Because I put a lot of effort to it and want to share this with you. Also, for many I may be a completely new guy, but I have done subbing and encoding for some time already, and am not completely new to it. Well download the episodes and see if you like it or not. If there's any more info needed, I'll happily answer them in the comments. Files are tested to work on following configuration: MPC-HC, LAV, madVR, xy-VSFilter. If you have any problems playing the files, please download / reinstall CCCP for example: http://www.cccp-project.net/ And btw, the typeset doesn't work that well in VLC, also VLC sucks, so don't use it. If you use VLC or any other player that sucks, then don't complain to me that the release looks crappy. It doesn't, the problem is on your side then.
