_First Story_ is the first album by redballoon, the duo of the brothers Muraya Katsunori and Muraya Kouji. Except, strictly-speaking, it’s not redballoon’s first album. The band originally appeared on the Nagoya music scene in 2004 as a six-member jazz-rock band, even including a DJ. Within a year three members would leave, all at the same time following a concert at Chitashi. Tower Records signed the remaining three members and in November 2005 they released _forget-me-not._ Two months later their drummer left the band, leaving only the two brothers. Since then they have leaned on the help of other musicians for their live performances, but redballoon has remained a two-member group since January 2006. So _First Story_ is not technically redballoon’s first album, but it may as well be.
