Key's stories have touched people's lives all over the world. These people's backgrounds are diverse, as they come from different cultures, speak different languages, and value different beliefs. Due to these inherent differences, communication barriers still exist within global society despite an ever expanding array of tools intended to connect us. Unfortunately, despite the appreciation shown by Key fans from around the globe, few are able to convey their appreciation to the creators of the works they love. Few languages are universal. Mathematics is one example. Emotional cues are another. Music and the arts, perhaps, could be considered a third. Therefore, creating music would seem to be an effective mechanism for showing appreciation across cultural borders. This album was organized as a way to exemplify the diversity of Key's global fan base and the popularity of the studio's productions outside of Japan. The musicians featured in this album all come from different walks of life; likewise, their musical styles vary in accordance with their preferences. Each of their contributions were composed or covered specifically for inclusion in this volume, and their participation in the effort was wholly voluntary. Due to this, the audience can be assured that the passion put into each of these songs is authentic and heartfelt. Key productions have aptly been described as, "A rollercoaster ride of emotion!" This album has been organized in a similar manner; a period of soft, melodramatic music may follow an energetic arrangement, or vice versa. Collectively, this album could be considered a conscious clash of styles and cultures which as a whole combine to create something uniquely beautiful. I hope you too will find this to be an accurate description. The following pages showcase each of the musicians featured in this album. Their preferred names, locations, and ages are provided alongside icons representing the Key production(s) that they focused on for their contributions. As you listen to this album, I would encourage you to keep these artists in mind as they take you on a journey through the history of Key's stories and music.
