The excellent Hunter x Hunter anime adaptation by Madhouse that began in 2011 has finally ended last week. So naturally, many of us wanted to continue onward with Hunter x Hunter by reading the manga. The final episode finished with Chapter 339. So Chapter 340+ began this new arc, The Dark Continent Expedition, which is proving to be even grander of scale than that of Chimera Ant Arc. Chapter 340 was released in 2012 and its translation was like any online translation. But when Chapter 341+ started getting released in Summer 2014, the online translations were quite literally abysmal. While reading Mangastream's translation, I had a lot of trouble understanding what was going on. The same with Mangapanda. Both MS and MP's translations were atrocious. I'm not sure if that was due to the complexity of the dialogue or if the translator(s) weren't competent or bothered. Fortunately, there is an alternative. The official Viz translation does make sense and is leagues more superior to both Mangastream's and Mangapanda's translations. These chapters were extremely difficult to find on the internet. So I thought I should share them. Chapter 341 is in double pages and the resolution isn't that high - it was the best I could find. But it's still perfectly readable. Chapters 342-348 resolutions are standard what you'd expect. I couldn't find an Viz scans for Chapter 349 however Mangastream seemed to have upped their game. Their translation of Ch.349 was actually understandable. So we might be able to rely on them for future chapters. Credit to HorribleScans whoever you are. Enjoy. And please seed.
