Recently I have been thinking about encoding all my favorite anime to higher quality 10bit so I thought I would start with Trigun. Only episode 1 for right now so I could get some feedback before I commit to the whole series. About this upload Okay the video source is from the R1 which I am told has some pretty bad interlacing issues. Also the end credits have the english lyrics burned in along with some dot crawl and rainbowing. The good news is while I was encoding most episodes came out fine but a few of them the opening has some slight stuttering or jerkyness but the rest of the episode is fine I don't know if this is from the above mentioned interlacing issues or a variable frame rate issue either way it's only a minor problem and barely noticeable. I couldn't find any decent fansubs so I thought I would just OCR the vobsubs which turned out to be a little more time consuming than I thought. On top of OCR'ing then going through it line by line checking for any errors (every sentence ending with a ? kept looking like this '?.) it was really annoying. Then styling and positioning of the subtitles (If anyone knows how to keep the subtitle positions then adjust them to a new video resolution that would really save me some time.) Also any tips you might have to help make Subtitle Edit OCR feature more accurate. All in all I think the first episode came out great. Though in order to release all of the episodes this week, I probably will only include the vobsubs and let someone else with the patience and or experience create new subs if they so choose. As a bonus I am also thinking about including a \[BD 720p\] \[Dual-Audio\] release of Trigun Badlands Rumble. I could re-time and mux in \[Commie\] subs along with the OCR'ed PGS subs.
