My project to rip LaserDisc NGE is still here. Now I Have All LaserDisc of NGE (1-26, 21’ - 24’, 25’/26’, Death(true)², Rebirth and The End of Evangelion).

From now, I need a good LaserDisc player, a good sound card to rip the digital sound on LaserDisc (4.0 Sound for movie) and a new HDD.

LaserDisc is like VHS to RIP, so no ISO like DVD, but a create a video with a highbitrate and lossless audio.(PCM

I was able to test a little. It’s nice to watch.

LaserDisc version have better color / contrast and a little bit of better detail.
For the movies, it’s the same, apart the details, I think DVDs are a bit better, or it’s just me… But anyway, I did not make any adjustment on my LD, even the input of my acquisition card. Need good calibring color + AviSynth adjustement (for noise)

So, I try to capture LaserDisc version but it’s difficult. (AviSynth, Deinterlace problem with lumia) not easy easy, but I don’t give up
btw I purchase on Japan the seven DVD of NGE 1999 (before renewal version DVD) tomorow the movie (DT²&R and EoE) 1999 DVD, and next month the three box second impact. But extremely long to come on my home (3 months max).

Since that had the original Director’s Cut versions unlike the Second Impact Box or the Archives of Evangelion box.

The Original Volume 6 is the Director’s Cut Version Before Renewal (Episode that has not been titled Director’s Cut or other Dash on the number. But true Director’s Cut version)

I try to upload 100GB of all ISO 1999 DVD original, in begining of august if you’re intereste (With all scan pictures)

Has anyone uploaded the Japanese pre-renewal DVDs, either the first Gainax/KIBA releases or the Second Impact Box set? Shinobu posted pictures of the Second Impact Box hinting at uploading it, but I can’t find it at nyaa. We also need it for Japanese DVD of 25’ 26’/ End of Evangelion

Any program to patch English subs to this release? Looks amazing!
