Final release of the year. For those of you who were wondering if Luurah and I have been planning on doing another project together (after Mach GoGoGo was dropped due to the announcement of a bilingual Bluray release by Funimation), the answer is yes! At one point we were discussing possibly doing Gaiking, and then it was announced that had been licensed by Discotek. Very good news, especially considering how the announcement came quickly enough that we didn't actually get started on any work into the project. So here's our latest joint project with Luurah Productions, Laserion. I saw this first episode at a small comic book con in 1984. There was a guy who ran the local anime club showing VHS tapes in raw Japanese that he'd just gotten from his video trading pen-pal in Japan. I was a teenager at the time, and the main premise of Laserion is such a teenage fantasy. Computer nerd who designs giant robots and also has a girlfriend who is totally into his hobby, and through some comic book sci-fi type accident the giant robot materializes in real life and he gets to pilot it to fight evil?!
