We at Removempeg2 Pictures always try to bring you the best of quality while maintaining relatively low filesizes. This is possible thanks to a well-known high-quality H.264 encoder - x264. This is what almost everyone in fansubbing industry uses but we always tried to be ahead of everyone: with the days of 4K anime coming near, everyone wants higher quality at lower bitrates. And what's important is to concentrate on _perceivable_ quality, not just some numbers. Which is why today we are proud to announce a new psychovisual optimization technology - USO (Underneath Subtitles Optimization). Recent study showed that people are less likely to notice video artifacts if said artifacts are located under subtitles, just check this graph:  Luckily for us, x264 offers customization of QP (QUALITY parameter) and that brings us to an actual encoding results. As you can clearly see in [this comparison](http://diff.pics/xmOcY5jwlTyo/1), USO results in lower detail loss in areas not covered by subtitles - the only areas you'll see while watching.
