I encoded the first episode of GTO with settings I felt like trying out with Handbrake and wanted some feedback on how it looks. A setting that I used that some people may not like is that I used the NLMeans denoiser within Handbrake. I want to encode the full series since most of the other releases are old. I used subtitles by B-A. Give feedack, please. Also keep in mind that I'm an encoding noob. One complaint I'm expecting to see is about the 59.94 fps, which is due to the Yadif deinterlacer. It essentially doubles the frame rate while deinterlacing in and effort to preserve the original smoothness of the interlaced source when using the "Bob" preset. The video has a weird horizontal resolution because all of the original video in the DVD was preserved, which can be easily seen on the outer edges of the video.
