episodes 2, 3, 5, and 11 have minor issues just letting you know

@solidsnake Sorry for late replay, I don't get any notifications about this torrent. Could you provide more details about the issues you have been experiencing? Rechecking 24 tracks could take a while if I don't know where to look.

basically, in episode 2 @ 02:22 it sort of glitches and that's really the issue that also arises once (don't remember when) in the other 3 episodes.

Thanks for details! Unfortunately, I can't find any obvious issues at that spot - video and all audio tracks appears to be fine on my side. Can you verify if the CRC matches and if the glitch is present on different players (I checked on MPC-HC and VLC)?

I've been watching the show, and I also didn't see any glitches in episode 2 or 3. I'm using MPC-HC with the latest version of CCCP. I'm surprised that you said this isn't fully QC'd, because it sure seems like it was to me. Thank you for such a high quality release. :)

Damn this is a monster of a torrent. 90GB for 26 episodes… But the quality is SOOOO GOOOD. What shall I do =( I have the G-P version and even if I download the 18GB English dub and have both dub and sub seperate that's only 50GB. But I'd rather have both audio's in one file... How do you all decide if 90GB is worth one season? one show..

So, what was done to get bothe dubs on the earlier episodes? I just received my Blu-Rays and there's two discs for Eps 1-7, one being the 'broadcast' edit, since Sunrise produced too much animation so the series had some scenes cut out (So, not western censorship, but editing for time slot specs) and then another disc has the same epsiodes with their new 'uncut' scenes and the new 2016 dub. This is because the 2000 dub does not cover the extra scenes in the uncut version. So how do these rips manage it?

@AshleyAshes For the most part, the missing sections were added from the new dub. There were few spots where that was not possible (e.g. scene being cut mid-sentence) and some additional part of old dub as replaced for result to sound coherent. The only reasonable alternative would have been to include 2 copies of the episodes, which is what most of other releases do.

Interesting. Well, I had this release and I've since replaced it with Remux's from my discs, including seperate files for 1-7. Easiest solution. That said, since this release is from the Japanese discs it's interesting to compare. ...And FUNimation's video just looks better. o.O

I downed this to watch the extended cut for the r/anime rewatch. Good torrent. Good quality. Maybe a bit big on the filesize, but I appreciate the hard work. Minor nitpick: Labeling of the subtitle tracks with tags like [eng], [jap], etc should denote the language of the sub track, not the language of the audio track. If you tag both the signs/songs and the dialogue subs [Eng], most players will default to the first sub track, which is fine, even if you set signs/songs as the first track. No objections there. My player is set to default select (jap, jpn, jp) audio and (eng, en) subs, in those cases where my preference is not the first audio or sub track. So even though you have the dialogue subs as the first track, because you tagged it [Jap] it defaults to the signs/songs track instead, because it's the only one tagged [Eng]. If both sub tracks were untagged or tagged [Eng] my player would default to the first track, but it selects the wrong one because you tagged it wrong. If it's not a Japanese language subtitle then it shouldn't be tagged [Jap]. The reason for the tags is to allow players select a default in the case of multiple sub or audio tracks. Labeling them incorrectly defeats the purpose. Even if you put signs/songs first and tagged it properly, my player would still pick the wrong one, but I wouldn't be annoyed. Everyone has their own preference. That's why I set mine in the player settings. Getting through the OP for third time in a row before realising that the sub track is defaulting to the wrong one and then noticing that that the one I want IS the first track, but it's tagged wrong... I get this little pain behind my sinuses. I actually made an account to bitch about it. Sorry. Constructive criticism for future reference.

@xHelaMonster Regarding the subtitle track tags - sadly, there is no perfect choice and I simply went with closest thing to standardized approach we had (used by groups like E-D). As you mentioned, tags are there to allow players to select a default in the case of multiple tracks. So in order for this to work, tracks must have some usable difference in tagging, otherwise no default selection could be done and we could just not have any tags at all. Other alternatives for tagging subtitles would be: - Using [Eng] for both tracks. This will result in situation where tags can't be used for selection logic, unless user has set to not use English subtitles and player will turn them off. - Using [Eng] and [Eng][Forced]. This does not work correctly on several players as there is no selection logic for specifically selecting non-forced tracks (LAV can do this through advanced options) and [Forced] is generally prioritized over [Default] tag causing problems for those who prefer full subs. - Using [Jpn] and [Eng]. It is counter-intuitive, but otherwise works as long as there is no "real" Japanese tracks. - Using [Eng] and [zxx]. Also somewhat counter-intuitive, but less than other alternative and somewhat standardized (used by kuchikirukia and some releases from Kametsu/LostYears). I will most likely stick with this for my future projects, if I will have any (except Sailor Moon to maintaining consistency). If you are using LAV, you can do a lot more detailed settings instead of "eng, en". I, for example, am using something like "jpn:jpn;jpn:eng|n;jpn:eng;jpn:*|d;eng:*|f;eng:off;*:eng" to get around different tagging and it works for most releases (except the ones that use plain [Eng] for both tracks).
