I recently switched to these encoding settings (SubMe=10, Trellis=2 -> SubMe=9, Trellis=0, MixedRef=1). Practice has shown that this allows not only to shorten the coding time by several minutes, but also slightly improve the video quality (especially B-frames). For a while, I will still post the anime with the old settings that I have stored.
The rest of the anime is in the process of downloading.
@AXZ
Especially for you now recoded a small piece of video with a duration of 1.31 minutes (ED1 Zetsuen no Tempest).
With old settings (SubMe=10, Trellis=2, MixedRef=0):
frame I:10 Avg QP:16.21
frame P:529 Avg QP:18.57
frame B:1641 Avg QP:25.34
It took me 2 minutes and 52 seconds. The file size was 34.3 mb.
With the new settings:
frame I:10 Avg QP:15.40
frame P:529 Avg QP:17.65
frame B:1641 Avg QP:23.89
And with these settings, the encoding took me 2 minutes 31 seconds. The file size is 35.6 mb.
I made a conclusion for myself. With a slight increase in the size of the final file, the video quality and encoding speed slightly increased. For me, quality is more important.
@ONIX Tomorrow
@Kirion Can I make a request
Please can you upload to TokyoToshan in english category your every new releases. In this way your all files will be fetched by Animetosho. Then animetosho bot will upload all your files on different hosting sites. From there people can download your every release very easily. In this way you don't need to reseed any of your relases. And those people who don't have huge data to seed your every releases can easily download from animetosho.org. Just do one thing include all subs like you did for the Kobato in one rar file. In this way animetosho will not delete even after fetching since your releases will come under english category.
@soretakasa
I understood. If I take subtitles from http://subs.com.ru/ and make a raw video from Moozzi2, then I think there should not be any problems. That's only with the synchronization of video with subtitles, I do not promise anything.
@Kirion
I mean you can put here without any changes. People can easily mux subtitle but getting your re-encode is most important. Like Kobato. Just do same for every new releases.
I found out when someone submitted Shingetsutan Tsukihime (raw) re-encode of your in TokyoToshan in english category. Later on I downloaded all episodes from animetosho.org. It was deleted from there after 3 months when someone reported that it's raw re-encode.
@lihu
At the moment this is a bit problematic.
Fuuka - only 10 episodes on BD (https://nyaa.iss.one/?f=0&c=0_0&q=fuuka+1080+BD)
Mushibugyou - only 2 episodes on BD (https://nyaa.iss.one/?f=0&c=0_0&q=mushibugyou+1080+BD)
