"*Up to episode 23 the subs are 100% finished and can be watched without issues. After that... well, I did go through episodes 24-64 and 100-114 once, but they needed another revision (especially for timing adjustments). I know much more now than I did back when I worked on those episodes, so not all of the lines will be accurately translated.
*Episodes 65-99 are sadly not in a watchable state. 65-81 use subs from another group, which quite frankly have terribly inaccurate translation (some of the lines are pretty much complete rewrites). As for 82-99, they're simply the French subs (which are also terribly translated from the original Japanese dialogue) run through Google Translate. Obviously, I had no intention of ever releasing them like that, I was going to work on those episodes eventually. But alas, motivation to do so is gone." - Hoj on BakaBT
This is probably the best version of Saint Seiya in English out there. That said, it could do with touch ups.
Thank you so much! I've been coveting Hoj's subs for the Poseidon arc ever since he mentioned them a long time ago on BakaBT, which I can't access anymore. Even without the timing revisions, they're leagues above the subs ripped from the HK bootleg DVDs. It's a shame he never found the time to work on the Asgard arc, though.

Yes, definitely, old English subs for most of the episodes are awfully bad. The Netflix ones take some small liberties here and there, like most commercial releases, but don't alter the actual meaning of anything.
